Laptop making deathly feed back noise

No way of turning it down or anything, literally every time I take off the headphones this really loud and super annoying feedback noise comes about. Any ideas? I've have this laptop for less than a week. Thanks in advance.

Take off the headphones as in remove them from the laptop or just removing from your face? If the former, are they connected via standard 3.5mm headphone jack or USB?

Both actually, and its a dual jack head set of head phones.

No real idea of what the problem could be, just that I have a similar problem in mine that keeps me from being able to use anything but USB headphones.
