Hi all,

First of all, I have done some BIO flash before on this card to get it up to 6970, but due to some freeze issue, which was not caused by the graphic card but the power option that was set on the CPU, I flashed it back to stock to eliminate that variable. Now that I have fixed the freeze issue, I want to flash it to 6970 again. However, I want some advises on picking the right BIO for this process as I don't ever want to do this again.

The manufacturer is HIS. So do I automatically try to use the BIO from them? I downloaded the BIO from this site http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/...ng/vidcard/159 and followed the step. I heard Asus BIO is good with smart doctor, but is it compatible with HIS? If you have any suggestion on which BIO works the best, please advice. Also, is the adjusting the power to +20% as suggested by techpower a necessary step? and is there any negative in doing that?

Also, I have the newest CCC driver (11.4), do I uninstall and reinstall the driver after the BIO flash or is it not necessary.

At last, I have heard application profile is a good way to set things up for games etc. Do any of you use that for FFXI? and if so, how should I go about setting it up properly for FFXI. I do have some very very minor choppy playback issue. I remember downloading the application but didn't know how to use it.
