Just finished new build - RAM Question

    Hey hey,

Ok, so here is my MB and my RAM -

    MB: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe
    RAM: Corsair XMS3 DDR3 2000 MHZ

Question: How do I read the MHZ of my ram on my machine? I downloaded a program, CPU-Z, and it tells me the DRAM Freq = 936.5. Seems really wrong? lol

I went into the BIOS and set it to 1866 (only higher option was 2133 or something, didn't want to go above 2000, but the board supports it).

Note: I am clueless what all the clock timing means or how to adjust it, or what I should adjust it to!

    Thanks for the help

Edit - After thinking about the definition of DDR in my head, the RAM is working correctly? 936 x 2 = 1866 ish

    Yup.

If you want to change your RAM settings, it's all done in the BIOS. You may have to change the FSB, timings, ratio, and voltages manually if you want it to reach 2000mhz. You'll be fine with 1866.
