Now that we got more info on what lights are available maybe we could find out more information on what each of them do specifically? Most make sense already, but what does Ebon Light do?

Azure = Blue Chest Quality
-- Magic Kill.
-- Most mobs give 8 per kill.
-- Most Ephemeral give 16.
-- NMs give 16+ ?
-- Chests: Mild = 32? Strong = 64? Intense = 128?
-- Caps @255
-- Time @128+ (roughly, can occur earlier, but rarely)

Ruby = Red Chest Quality
-- WS Kill.
-- Most mobs give 8 per kill.

Gold = Exp/Kill
-- Chest Only.
-- Chests: Mild? Strong? Intense?
-- Caps @200
-- Ups Exp/Kill by x

Silver = Cruor/Kill
-- Chest Only.
-- Chests: Mild? Strong? Intense?

-- Ups Cruor/Kill by x

Ebon = No Fucking Clue.

So is Ebon a "Bonus Light" to existing light, like a multiplier or added onto existing lights additively?

Does 255 Azure and 100 Ebon = 355 Azure?

Or is Ebon light it's own thing to up the rank of the other chests beyond 255 opening more rewards? (Scars' shoe frequency in gold chests for instance?)

Anyone want to help fill in the missing blanks? I was going to do some experiments after events to see what I find, but if anyone has already been fucking with this stuff, it'd be great to know what you guys know.

Did a VNM recently, the T3 in Vunk, got 10 pearl and 1 ebon (melee kill)

Got time with 112 Azure and 4 Ebon

I shall post more observations.

My Ruby capped at 255, Pearl at 230, Silver/Gold at 200. Ebon is still rising.

Strong Ebon is +3, at 125 now and still rising.

Ebon got to 143 and I left.

This is a stretch but the only other thing besides lights/chains/abyssites that affect Cruor/EXP are Bastion/Dominion influence. Now we know that Bastion/Dominion spheres of influence affect EXP/Cruor/Pyxis spawn rates(corresponding to the lights from red chests: Gold/Silver/Pearl) independently of lights but one of the things it affects as well are Treasure Yield Pyxis Quality. Perhaps ebon light affects TH or Pyxis quality?

Earlier I was 250+ perl and 250+ azure and time chests were being stingy as fuck. Spent over an hour trying to get more then 1 chest every 10 minutes and timed out :/

Ephemeral Murex in Aby-Mis giving 132 azure, Ephemeral Amoeba only giving 16 azure though.

t1 VNMs don't seem to give the automatic 1 Ebon that regular NMs do.

i got TE after killing 5 marids with blue(40) in uleguerand range. also get highest tier XP cruor recovery boxes

seems that our abyssite and zone's chest lvl doesnt show on top of the lights we get from mobs

I thought it was a known fact that Amoeba don't give enhanced azure? Murex don't give enhanced pearl either. I will have to try to pearl a Amoeba now, but I would feel confident saying they give enhanced pearl.

This is probably totally wrong but whatever, think it's possible that Ebon actually has a negative effect on top tier boxes?

I usually find it a lot easier to get TE/curor before I kill a load of NM's, after that it always seems quite a bit harder. I almost thought lights were dropping after being in a zone for a while but that doesn't seem to be the case, anyone capped out ebon or put it really high and had a horrible time with TE?

i know how you feel but some people in this forum seem to think its impossible to have shit luck
