We would like to take a moment to bring our valued fans and customers an important announcement regarding the Square Enix Account Transfer process. We will be extending the transfer cut-off date until we are able to implement a series of easier payment options to the system.

You've Spoken and We've Heard You

You, the community, have clearly expressed your dissatisfaction with our billing system transition—and we are listening. We now understand that the options we presented you did not meet the level of service you have come to expect from Square Enix, so we have been working hard to address these concerns.

Accordingly, we will be extending the transfer cut-off date until we are able to implement the following improvements:
- New credit card payment options for Crysta [Available Now]
- The ability to specify exactly how much Crysta you want to buy [Early Fall]
- New recurring payment credit card options [Mid Fall]

We hope these steps show our ongoing commitment to you, our fans. It is our goal to make the FINAL FANTASY XI experience as fun and rewarding as possible.

Also in the days to come we'll reveal details for new offers and incentives to help ease your transition to the new system.

Cool. So my account will only be inactive for "a few months" until mid fall, assuming the new recurring method isn't another shady website.

(Although I guess I could do the exact crysta thing, I would be ok with doing that manually for a month or two. I really hope this shit is ready before they cut off the old system, since they DID say they would extend that.)

I transferred my remaining 2 accounts already >< I wasn't expecting an extension, I was hoping for new payment options before the end of the month... At least I can use my US credit card via Paypal for a few months until they add a new direct CC option that would hopefully accept my Korean CC again. I won't have enough money in my US account for more than 2-3 months though, hope they act fast.

The way I read it was if you havent transferred yet, you'll still be able to pay/play until they set that new stuff up, then once its done you'll have to switch it over to either the current crysta stuff or the direct pay/exact crysta amount

I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So who gives a crap of they're socialists or not.

I'm happy about this. It extends the cut off date, so now I'll decide of the "new and improved" payment options are any better when that time comes.

Nah, since you will be able to specify the exact amount of crysta you want to buy you can just buy a smaller amount next month and use the extra you already have.

Yeah, you might have a small balance on there until they implement the "buy the exact amount you want" thing, but as soon as they do that, you can even it out.

Oh, anyone with half a brain knows that the only reason SE "listened" this time is because money talks. I'm frankly amazed that they didn't wait until after Septemeber 1st and get actual numbers before making this decision.

So if you haven't transferred accounts yet, does this mean that next month still works under the old payment method through pol? Or do you still need to pay in crysta now, you just can buy exact amount, but you don't have to transfer account yet without risk of getting locked out?
