FFXI on Virtualbox (Mac)

I've been trying to search for some recent info on this for a while, but haven't had much luck. I've been wondering if anyone has been able to get FFXI to run in Virtualbox with a Mac host? I can get Playonline running, but everytime I get to where the game should launch, I get a crash and a directx error. Any help would be appreciated. I know I can run the game through bootcamp, but it's a pain because all of the other programs I use are Mac OS programs.

FFXI works on VMWARE fusion on my MacBook air (lags due to poor graphic card)

Just install direct X 9 full package from MS website on your virtual machine and it should be good to go
