So the event is next weekend, thought we should get a thread started. I'm not going this year, so of course there will be a bunch of crazy awesome stuff I will miss out on.

Who's going and what are you all hoping to see?

I'd like a D3 release date, major info/preview on Heart of the Swarm and maybe some teaser deal on whatever Titan is.

I believe a Blizzard rep already said Titan won't be talked about at Blizzcon. Probably just Heart of the Swarm info and the new WoW expansion being revealed, along with some previews of the Deathwing raid

Maybe Heart of the Swarm released date will be revealed.

As for the Titan they did say it won't compete with WoW, so it won't be a typical MMORPG or even an RPG.

Inb4 it's something like *Battlefield 2142 but for Starcraft (imagine Battlefield but it takes place in space!) and there will be 20000 player games with each player picking Protoss, Zerg, Terran, or Space Orcs (there has to be space orcs). IPeople capture planets instead of flags.

Rounds will last 1-2 weeks (as opposed to 15-30 minutes in BF) and it'll be epic:

*Obviously there will be a Battlefield 3142 that comes out after BF3. BF3142 will take place in the year 3142 and it will also take place in... space!

Speaking of that actually, Titan is apparently a new franchise altogether so it's probably not that actually >.>.

I won't be going to Blizzcon but fortunately nearly everything usually gets put on youtube afterwords.

Something to look forward to is probably the GSL finals (inb4 game disconnects while they're playing due to battle.net in front of Michael Morhaime) for those who are unaware (they recently added GSL finals to Blizzcon this year).

I'll be there. GSL finals and the SC2 Blizzcon invitational are obvious draws for me (I'll probably just sit and watch the tournaments almost the whole time, lol). Foo Fighters playing there is pretty damn awesome as well.

As for content, I definitely expect some looks at HotS, probably with reveals of new multiplayer units (since they've already teased silhouettes for Terran and Zerg, with Protoss probably coming Monday). I'm hoping for a playable multiplayer build of HotS as well, but not expecting it (it will probably be single-player stuff only). Don't really expect a release date, but maybe, just maybe, a beta key? I can hope :D

Don't think there will be anything for Titan.

I really have no clue what kinds of reveals they could do for Diablo. It's already in beta, the AH stuff has been revealed, and the game's characters, skills, abilities, and rune stuff is mostly already known. I'm sure they want to keep most of the actual story/gameplay content behind wraps for release as well. Maybe they'll announce plans for an expansion pack(s) like they did for SC2? If not, then just panels/Q&A and a playable beta build, meh.

WoW, probably an expansion announcement like every year (or is it every other?). I don't know, don't really follow WoW stuff at all.

Overall, I have some hopes for HotS content, but I'm mostly there for the tourneys and possibly the barcraft afterparty.

Wow. Seems like Blizzard hasn't forgotten about SC1 (those are SCBW Players).

There was a rumor back that KeSPA (Korean e-Sports Association) and Blizzard had talks after they settled their lawsuit (once GOM exclusive contract expires, KeSPA might move into the SC2 scene). Basically KeSPA and Blizzard are pals now apparently >.>.

Anyway interesting and exciting. (If you're wondering about Flash[another SC1 player], he had to decline because he had to recover from his wrist surgery.)

So the guy I bought the ticket from on ebay has been strangely silent for the past couple of weeks. Even after a couple of emails in the last week. I know there's still a couple of days before the con, but fuck. I really hope he's not waiting til the last second. If worse comes to worse and I don't have a ticket when I get out there (if I can't contact my seller etc) I know I can use ebays buyer protection plan and shit, but are there people with extra tickets out there? I'll buy one there if I have to. Really annoyed at the moment, but will give him another day. I don't get to Cali to Wednesday anyway.

If he bought a ticket from blizzard he should have gotten his barcodes by now. You should really start rattling some cages.

@Odesseiron last two years I went there was always someone selling extra ticket(s) on a corner just outside of the Buzz Lightyear parking lot.

As Correction said though, you should start getting on this dude the best way you can because he's got the info by now.

It's going to suck if Blizzard doesn't give us some information about their new mmorpg that they have been working on for over five years, a reveal trailer would be awesome. The mmorpg market needs some spicing up and Blizzard is the only company that can spice it up so i'm extremely interested in any info at all.

If worse comes to worst and you are out here without a ticket, you could probably sneak in easy enough if you know at least two people with tickets. Those two walk in with their badges, one walks out with both badges (one in pocket/under shirt), gives second to you, walk back in. When I've gone, they've always had surprisingly bad checks for this, only having one entrance checkpoint where they just see if you have a badge on and then no one cares once inside. My brother has had a couple WoW friends that have done this before for years running, lol. Obviously no goodie bag or anything and if by some odd chance you are caught, you are SOL, but it's worth trying if you end up in that situation.

There is a free blizzcon app on itunes that has a more or less complete timeline of panels, Q&As, and matches. Also has a floor map, if that is of any use to you.

Flying out early hours this morning from the UK to be attending this years Blizzcon, mostly looking forward to Diablo 3 and any extra news/release date they will giving for that, and the new SC2 expansion anouncements. Other then that will probably watching the GSL whilst browsing the extra stuff you don't get to see on the streams.

@Odesseirion can always try and sneak in with us always willing to give it a try, hopefully he will get back to you though.

Part of me going was to get the swag bag. But yeah, thanks man. I might do that. Or I might buy a ticket in the lot there. I've currently sent him another email waiting for a response. A little nervous, and very frustrated. I've kept it civil, but my tone is kind of short.

For reference sake, I got my e-mails with the barcodes on Sept 23, and then they just resent them again today for some reason.

I wouldn't be too worried though. If I remember the listing you bought them from, it seemed pretty legit. I'm sure he'll come through. If not, hit me or some other BG'rs up and I'm sure we could try to sneak you in.

How much do you guys usually spend when going to Blizzcon for lodging and goodies + tickets? I kind of want to go since I've been play Diablo/2 and SC/2/BW since I was younger. I have a friend that would probably really want to go sometime also, even though he's not as into WoW anymore, he still likes SC and loves Diablo so I think it'd be fun.
