is the dumbest thing ever.
Should be illegal.
For the next two years I can now kill you without being sued.

you can still be sued lol
I don't think it's possible to fail the class.
The suing part was a joke in regards to what the class told me:
Then goes on about the specific laws yadda yadda and how if you have cpr training and attempt it in "good faith" you can't be sued for injuries. This policy of encouraging rescue attempts and exempting the lay person from liability is now clearly established in California law. During 1978. two Good Samaritan statutes became effective. There is now complete immunity from civil liability for the person who tries to help another who is sick or injured....
If that is incorrect, then it just reaffirms my statement that taking a CPR class online should be illegal.
basically, I thought it was funny to mention it while giving a class that you basically don't have to do anything to pass.
They give you quizzes at the end of each chapter, but give you 3 attempts...with the same quiz...and after the first attempt they show you which ones you got right and which ones you got wrong. So you literally can just skip to the quizzes, guess, see which ones you got wrong and fix it and get 100%.
the best part was there were some video clips to "show" you how to do it....and they didn't work ....
oh and in the final quiz, they wanted you to put a dot on a chest to show where the heel of your hand should be, but the dot was already there on the upper right corner of the screen and you couldn't move it, yet it would only let you put one dot.
that part was great too.
Basically, I will never use CPR until I take a real class as I still have no fucking idea what you should do.
except on you fuckwits
thats a whole lot of who gives a shit
your momma will when I do the cpr wrong on her
Depends on where you are. You can be sued, but in a lot of places it would just get thrown out. In some though, it is not the case.
The article goes on to say it covers first responders too, EMTs and the like. Not all jurisdictions provide protection to laypersons, in those cases only protecting trained personnel, such as doctors or nurses.
who cares about states I don't live in?
DNR cases where it is expressed to the responder
except, it was a joke. I wasn't actually planning on running around to find random people on the streets to give cpr. In fact, I said I refuse to do so until I get proper training.
I only did it online 'cause it's required for my graduate program so wanted to get it done fast and cheaply. But for sure, it's insane this is considered a legit certificate.
enjoycpr.com does great classes.
I can't breathe Ksandie! I need CPR!
Act like you don't know.
