Cracked plasma

So I bought a 51' plasma about 10 months ago and yesterday gf and I were neo stupid and hit the screen with a fishing line weight by accident(funny story actually) but anyway the front pane of glass cracked in a star shape on the inside of the glass (outside is smooth and can't feel the cracks) no plasma is leaking out and when you turn on the tv the and the picture is fine for the most part ( can see a small little black spot if you know it's there and looking for it). My main concern is the crack spreading when it warms up. What are the odds of this happening? is there anything I can do to prevent the crack from spreading? It was an 1.1k barley used set so is it repairable? Should I bother repairing it (cost of repair vs new set). As it is I can live with it just trying to cover my bases and prepare for the worst

It is going to spread. Also the "Plasma" used in these sets is a gas, you would not see it escaping.

The entire panel is going to have to be replaced. Hope you picked up the extended warranty.

Short version fishing for cats gf said ima bust tv stopped and let her play and she hit it first time >.> about how much it cost to replace? And it better to do it now after it spreads? It's still under the one year warranty but pretty shuts hiting it with a block of lead isn't covered although maybe I could play stupid? Lol

Sorry stuck at work lol. Basic of what I was trying to say its under warranty still but pretty sure hitting it with a block of lead is not covered. I could say some bull shit like we just opened it recently and it was cracked already but not sure if that would fly. What are the odds of the crack spreading? I can deal with it as it is and the crack is internal.
