What if there was a kid there too, he sees all of this going on, that's not obscene?
Why is it obscene? If the kid is old enough he should already know what's going on, and if he's younger, you can easily make up some sorry excuse for what's going on. But that's beside the point, as i'm not advocating we all live nakid from now on.
I was more referring to how the woman would feel.
Put yourself in her shoes (zing! shes naked, get it?) if you noticed every creepy guy with a boner in the room wanted to screw you, wouldn't you be a little uncomfortable? You could apply that to a situation where she was clothed and everyone else wasn't, it would still be incredibly awkward and, in my opinion, obscene to blatantly lust after someone else in public.
Anything that comes off as directly sexual doesn't belong in public, the key parts of the body that we cover up are those with a sexual purpose and the ones that show that someone is sexually excited. When one's sex organs are exposed it's not too hard to see how nudity can be interpreted as sexual.
Nudity in proper context is fine though, someone mentioned the ancient Greek Olympics, which is a good example of appropriate nudity. It's an event that exhibits the capability of the human body. Nudity on TV and in film is also fine, the taboo that exists there stems from the Christian values Western society was born from, parents scared shitless that their kids learn about what sex is all about. As long as its portrayed in an appropriate manner as something normal and natural and not always sexual then I don't see the harm.
