You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?
Which will be more baby indestructable (with accessories) Nokia Lumia vs. Iphone5
I have gone through about 4 phones in a little over a year now. Luckily only one of those being brand new, rest were used until I could be up for the partial upgrade on T-mobile. That hit back in February, but I was kinda trying to see if I could push this used S1 to the full upgrade since it was a decent phone.
Yesterday, however, the S1 decided to start flashing the "Vibrant" start screen and we can't get it to work (can't even use odin to fix it). Apparently this is a common issue with the phone and people don't seem to know how to resolve it.
ANYWAY, don't even think it'd matter anymore as t-mobile has changed their business model and I don't even think you can get discounts anymore through them so might as well finally get a new phone.
Initially, I have been so waiting to get the nokia lumia. There is a video where a guy runs over it with a car and it still works fine. I think the new nokia's are still famous for being break-resistant. However, t-mobile has just announced that on 4/12 the Iphone5 will be available. Now, obviously, by themselves I am sure the nokia will beat out the Iphone, BUT there are a fuckton more accessories for the Iphone to help. Including this:

Note: Whichever I get, I WILL get an otterbox for everyday use.
I really don't care too much about phone specs. I mostly use my phone for calls, maps, and pictures. I just want one to last. ;_;
Thoughts?

Lumia all the way, but you should ask yourself if there are any apps or accessories you cannot do without and research their availability on Windows phone.
I am using a lumia 920 atm and its def the best phone I have owned to date, which includes iphones and androids.
Best sounding calls for me was lumia. Pictures and video lumia > iphone for sure. and of course you have nokia maps, now rebranded to here maps on the lumia with free navigation.
Windows phone is great and very stable.

Through doing research I found out there is no otterbox for the nokia 810. So it would be a non-otterbox nokia vs. an otterbox iphone.
@ taki when it comes to apps like I said I really only care about are maps (and I guess facebook). I am willing to totally work with a new OS as I've never had a windows or iphone so either one is going to be a new experience for me.

well I dont use a case, or screen protector on my lumia, no scratches at all, but then I am pretty careful, also I had a lumia 900 that shattered to shit but it dropped while I was running down some concrete stairs, so that dont count lol.
Try windows phone I love the personalization it brings.
I cannot back the 810 that tmobile uses though I have not researched enough on it, it's built totally different that the 920.
But I would chose nokia over the iphone anyday. I would go into a store and see how it feels.

+1 vote for the Nokia. Also if you already don't have it Ksan, you should use the PTA discount for 14% off your monthly bill among other things. Once you get the card a scan of it should suffice for the CSR. You might also be able to do it at a store idk.

I am still getting a "google employee" discount though I don't work for google. (gotta love tmo customer service lmao) I'll look into which is bigger, thanks!

Just wanted to say I got the Nokia phone yesterday. After talking on the phone with a t-mobile rep it seemed like the best option for me. I guess their upgrade phone system ended last Sunday (go figure), so no matter what I was going to have to pay full price for a phone. Nokia was $360 and the iPhone is going to be about $600.
I am liking it so far, though there are a few apps. I guess I took for granted that I am going to miss (swype). Camera is definitely awesome though!

>_> so the other day Tmo just stated that the 810 won't be able to use LTE, if that's okay with you. Their HSPA+ tho is still good but it would've been better to have LTE & HSPA+ <_<
