This movie was monumentally stupid even by the standards of the series, but still a very fun time.

There is at least one more film rumored to be the finale but Vin Diesel has been pitching to make one additional film to make this a three part finale

In addition to this, Dwayne Johnson is having a hell of a time getting movies greenlit and a lot of studios are kind of staying away from him for now, so he’s had to sort of go crawling back to this franchise and will be in part 2.

Because of the Netflix movie Red, Jungle Cruise, and Black Adam did poorly alongside rumors of his upcoming Amazon Prime movie not looking good, studios don’t feel he can bring in money.

Because all his recent movies have bombed pretty bad (especially Black Adam), he's clearly not the box office draw he once was.
