I can see this being enjoyable if they keep his whole "Pet Detective" schtick intact and keep the scale of the movie more contained like the first two, and don't make the plot about him trying to stop global warming or deforestation or etc on a global scale and make it waaay too overly grandiose, which sadly I can also see them doing

First time I saw Ace Ventura I was probably 8 or 9 and in the opening scene when he returns the lady’s dog and she gives him a blow job I had no idea what was happening. I thought she was tickling him lol

I would love to see an opening scene that suggests this, and Ace being part of some big "save the world" shtick but sent off to bumfuck nowhere to get the fuck away from the situation.

Kinda like the monks did in Ace 2. Oh we are getting derivative aren't we.

Just about every 90s comedy franchise revival sequel is mediocre or awful.

I know Jim's still got it, but even that didn't help Dumb and Dumber 2.

Ohhh I can totally see this happening. And of course, the place they end up sending him to happens to be the place that some big-wig evil polluter/oil baron/whatever happens to be secretly plotting to do something ridiculously terrible
