I mean, on some level these senate investigation charades are always just a distraction from an actual investigation, but this one has elevated to the point that it might actually divert resources from a real investigation.

Does that also constitute obstruction of justice?

This is so bad. All they're gonna do is officially vote it down and then no one can do jack until they change enough of Congress to pass a law. In the short term it's probably worse, and only better in the long term if Dems can ever win a fucking election.
