Unless I'm blind (likely), I didnt see a thread for CoD's new free to play Battle Royale.
It released Tuesday I believe.
There's a 150-player mode.
I thought I remembered seeing cross-platform, but not sure

It's pretty fun. I'm digging it a lot more than the other BR games. Definitely way more enjoyable than Blackout imo.
Enjoy Apex Legends more but its CoD:BR. If you like CoD and you like BR you'll probably really enjoy this. If you hate either it doesn't do anything new or innovative to get you past that, so you'll likely not enjoy this either.
There’s just too much to it and I don’t know if I’ll get used to it. I definitely don’t like the little mini mission things that will target or call out where a group is. The fact that you can respawn people through multiple ways isn’t my favorite either. The map is relatively bland. I liked the color of the map on blackout a lot more. At this point I feel like this is a pretty substantial downgrade from blackout. We’ll see what it feels like moving forward I guess.
The only reason I'm interested in this is because I have a few friends that love CoD games and if cross-platform is a thing, they I can play on my PC and they can stay on their silly consoles
How is this game?
Do you like the color tan? If so this game environment is for you.
Its ok. My biggest gripe is the respawn system. Either your squadmates can buy you back by looking for a vending unit on the field and spending money you find around the area to buy you back to life, or you are sent to a gulag where you must 1 v 1 another dead player where the winner gets to come back, all the while other dead players are pelting you with stones from above. Its very dumb.
They need to take the gulag OR the respawn thing out. One or the other not both. It’s just too lenient.
I think the Gulag system is fucking hilarious and the buy-back system gives your teammates an incentive to stay in rather than ditch. It's a nice change of pace from the other games. The only thing I'd probably adjust is the cost of buying a person back, like increasing it incrementally the further into the game you are.
Yeah, for a few seasons. edit: whoops, mistook something different. I enjoy the currency system over Apex's player tag, where once their timer or loot boxes are gone, that's it for them.
This game is like as if call of duty and counter strike had a baby, and that baby grew up trying to be Apex Legends.
Its mediocre at best. Not as good as Apex, not as tight as counter strike. Feels almost like a beta really

Gotta say, this is the first time I've played a CoD game and its not making me feel like i'm missing anything. Games just not "fun" in my subjective opinion. The game is extremely slow and "Camp" heavy because you die basically instantly so it doesn't reward any other playstyle but "Pick a building and stay in it as long as possible". Its a wildly boring playstyle to me.
Warzone encourages so much camp it's actually not fun for me. Apex is still apex

Kind of been Call of Duty's thing for a long time.
IW's thing. More recent Treyarch games tend to move a lot more quickly.
