Im so hype for this after the movie...
I really did love the BL franchise for a long time. I think maybe I've played too much of it now. The gameplay in #3 was great but their world building and story went down the toilet imo. Not going to hop aboard the vault hunter train this time.
I never finished 3 which is a shame, but I felt the same. It just didn't really hook me like 1/2 did, despite it having the best feeling gameplay of the games. The story just... I could not care less about it or the new characters especially the annoying kid lol.
I hope they learned lessons from 3 and 4 is better but I'll wait and see.
I was hoping it was gonna be Handsome Jack's mask
The third game also suffered pretty heavily from the massive nerf bat they took to the entire game not soon after release. It definitely killed a lot of the early hype
There was a big QoL update to BL3 recently that I hope is implemented in 4. From what I understand, anyways if you have a max level character, you can choose to start a new character at level cap in front of the final boss.
I hope this game is good and the series keeps going strong. I'm just personally oversaturated with it all. Good luck vault hunters.
Game looks fun ngl

FYI steam and epic releases a day early in the US

roughly the same on xbox if I 'go to new zealand'
steam baby
It's out, reviews are pretty good (floating mid 80s so far).
Playing a bit over my lunch break, it's UE5 so a bit stuttery but not as horrendous as some other recent UE games. Went with Vex after seeing she's a pet class + voiced by the same actress as Melinoe from Hades 2
idk how i feel about it being an open world game
I would've called 2/3/Pre Sequel open world so I'm curious what makes 4 different from those.
Impressions from the first day of playing it are good. Writing is a massive step up from 3 (not that that's any kind of accomplishment)
Performance is pretty bad though, game is getting dragged in steam reviews for it.
