    Tests Regarding Sushi

    So, I've never seen actual tests regarding how much accuracy Sushi can add and hear different things regarding its cap. I decided to try some tests myself.

    Acc Equipment:
    1) Optical Hat (+10 acc)
    2) Noritsune Kote (+10 acc)
    3) Life Belt (+10 acc)
    4) Shura Haidate (+7 acc)
    5) Jaegar Ring (+4 acc)
    6) Scorpion Harness +1 (+12 acc)
    7) Diabolos's Earring (+3 acc)
    8) Tiphia Sting (+2 acc)
    9) Faith Torque (+7 skill)

    TaruTaru MNK75/NIN37 Base DEX:71 H2H:292
    Incredibly Tough Aw'aern in The Garden of Ru'Hmet (2nd floor, I-8)

    58acc 7skill (Eq: 1-9) High Evasion
    53acc Focus (Eq: 1-6) Neutral Evasion
    52acc Focus (Eq: 1-4 6 7) High Evasion
    43acc EFocus (Eq: 2-6) Neutral Evasion
    42acc EFocus (Eq: 2-4 6 7) High Evasion
    20acc Sushi (Eq: 1 2) Neutral Evasion
    19acc Sushi (Eq: 4 6) High Evasion
    Focus Sushi (Eq: None) Neutral Evasion

    Conclusion: Focus+53acc results in Neutral Evasion as does Focus+Sushi meaning that Sushi would have to give at least 53 accuracy when used with the base stats given above. Focus is assumed to be constant.

    Notes:
    *The sushi used was NQ Sole Sushi
    *Focus is cited as being 20 accuracy although not totally relevant to the conclusion
    *EFocus = Enhanced Focus which refers to activating Focus with Temple Crown equipped and is cited (as well as shown above) to add 10 more accuracy to Focus.

    Random notes / tests:
    It took Sushi+54acc (Eq: 1-4, 6-8) to make this particular Aern become Low Evasion (Sushi+53acc remained neutral). Sushi+Focus+34 also resulted in low evasion (Sushi+Focus+33acc remained Neutral). You could conclude that Focus is +20acc from this.

    Would seem to work out with the percentage of acc given.

    15% of 292 H2H skill would be 43.8
    15% of 71 DEX would be 10.65

    Rounding aside that would seem to match the +53 acc you reported as the minimum.

    Thats far higher cap of +acc then I had previously though possible from sushi. Makes me wonder if it has one at all.
    Awesome work.

    Two dexterity doesn't equal one accuracy? Everything we thought we knew were lies!!!

    Thanks for the tests by the way... and I hope that was a thief aern? Seems like pretty crazy evasion.

    Now go test it with Bream Sushi and see if your acc increases by 1%.

    Somepage used to show a cap for Sole's accuracy but in the last few months removed it. Maybe someone there did the same test

    Yes, that room has a THF aern in it, that's why I chose it so that it would take significant amounts of accuracy to show changes especially since I was unsure how far sushi could go. The other aerns didn't take much to become low evasion and their jobs are SMN and something else.

    I'm not entirely sure how the calculation is done for Sushi's accuracy. I tried equipping a club with my skill capped at 230 then using sushi then equipping destroyers and seeing if it still took the same amount of accuracy for the changes and it did. So it appears to be recalculated when you switch weapon.

    As for trying bream sushi, I'll do it. I'll have to redo some of the previous tests (without food) since there are people running around now and might kill the one I was working with.

    2 of the tests show something interesting...

    The Aern checked as HIGH evasion with +52 acc and +20 acc (Focus)
    but checked as NEUTRAL with +20 acc and Sushi

    If we assume that post 200 skill that each +1 skill gives 0.9 acc then...

    282.8+35.5+52+20 = 390 acc = High Evasion
    282.8+35.5+20+50.7 = 388.7 acc = Neutral Evasion

    With that formula, it doesn't make sense.. but, change 282.8 to 292...

    292+35.5+52+20 = 399.5 acc = High Evasion
    292+35.5+20+52.125 = 399.625 acc = Neutral Evasion

    Someone check my work since I did that kind of fast ^^;

    So I went back with Bream Sushi and it's no longer the same aern. It takes ~7 less acc than the previous to make changes. Anyway, here's what I found:

    46acc Focus => High evasion
    47acc Focus => Neutral Evasion
    11acc Bream => High Evasion
    12acc Bream => Neutral Evasion
    13acc Sole => High Evasion
    14acc Sole => Neutral Evasion

    Given that Focus is +20acc, it took a total of 67acc to make the Aern have neutral evasion. Based on that, Bream had to be adding 55acc while Sole added 53acc.

    Edit:
    Also, I didn't check the calculations above much, but I think it's worth noting that both Sushis are adding 6 dex to my base of 71.

    Most THFs just underrate STR in general. Its just a useful stat for melee.

    But you're probably right.

    Even if I wasn't going for Mercy Stroke, 5 STR will help overall damage more than 5 DEX, even if thf was my only job. It's even better now that Mercy is STR based 67 base str as a mithra isn't bad. And my pld has like 74str as /war so it's pretty nice.

    Some very nice work there. A couple questions though: I never actually studied the application of skills and what is checked before what, so would focus be considered when calculating the 15% accuracy bonus? If not, then would +Skill items?

    Well even more telling is that when you take the unmodified accuracy numbers,

    292 + (71+6)/2 + 20 = 350.5 * 0.15 (sole) = 52.575acc (what his test concluded sushi added to his accuracy)

    then

    292 + (71+6)/2 + 12 = 342.5 * 0.16 (bream) = 54.8acc which again matches up with his results.

    If you use the 0.9 acc/skill idea you get the following:

    283 (rounding up) + (71+6)/2 + 20 = 341.5 * 0.15 (sole) = 51.225acc

    283 + (71+6)/2 + 12 = 333.5 + 0.16 = 53.36acc

    Both of which don't add up to his tests conclusions. 0.9acc/skill dead yet?

    I've never studied this either, but it would make sense to me if food bonuses were calculated last, after everything else.

    Actually it may be:
    floor(282.8) + floor(35.5) + 52 + 20 = 389
    OR
    floor(282.8+35.5 + 52 + 20) = 390
    for the no-food test

    And it could be
    floor((floor(282.8) + floor(35.5 + 3) + 20) * 1.15) = 391
    OR
    floor(floor(282.8+35.5+3+20)*1.15) = 392
    for the sole sushi test

    I'm gonna go insane if nobody starts arguing about DRK or suggesting that your sushi is higher potency if it is traded to an Ebon Panel while wearing Parade Gorget.
