About two and a half months ago, I took it upon myself to quit the game and make sure I never come back.

So last night, finding myself in-game again, paged a GM about a few items... His response wasn't what I expected but was terribly unhelpful.

Wish I could give you some advice, but I have no idea how you'd restart the quests.

On another note, when people quit why do they go through such effort to toss out all this rare/ex gear? I would probably just quit and call it that, in the small chance that I did actually want to come back.

That sort of thing is done as a failsafe in case you ever do want to come back, remember such and take it as a sign.

This came up recently with Tavnazian Ring I believe, the community concensus was that GM's are just talking out their ass. I do find it interesting how many give that response though.

By the way, impressive list of items. Not much earth-shattering goodness, but a decent list nontheless.

There is a way to get them back. You need to talk to an npc that will reset you quest. The npc is in Jeuno but its been so long since I have used him that i forget his name and were he is located. I used him when i through away some old af before se desided to make af+1. Talk to the npc and then do some things for him and he resets the quest.
