Still doesn't have the functionality of motion sensing that the Wii controller has. Plus it doesn't have rumble at all. Don't get me wrong I'll get one when the price drops about $300 if all the best (non-Nintendo) games come out for it, I mean I own PS1 and PS2. It's just not an interesting design, it's the same design. No real originality, no new ways to play. It's the PS2 with better graphics and a storage medium that no one's sure will catch on. :\ I think I read recently either on the web or in the paper that when asked if people were interested in HD-DVD/Blu-Ray most people weren't ready to give up DVDs yet. I'm hesitant.
Gawd, why would they just continue to improve upon the best systems made, ever, period? I mean cmon they really need to fix what's not broken, like the controller that pretty much set the standard for what video game controllers should be, and is still and probably always will be the most popular controller design of any.
Everyone knows Sony's controller sucks for 2d fighters like SFs and KOFs, Saturn's controller ftw. For everything else, I prefer the Cube's design. Putting the digital pad which nobody ever uses at the top and making my thumb stretch for the analog and my hands looking unsymmetrical is stupid.
I agree kinda, all the consoles controllers suck for 2D fighters (KoF sucks) cause they all hurt like hell, yet I find the PS2's D-Pad most barable then the rest of them. I think Megadrive has the best D-pad...
As for the controls, the PS2's control works, it works well. Many games utilize the D-Pad for other functions and it's not a far stretch in anycase, I'm not sure what the last part means...how is the way your hands look relevant to your playing experience?
