Does having mutiple espers on one character double-triple your MP the same way quickenings do?

posted this also in the Sticky FFXII Discussion thread
can you watch the cutscenes (movie cgi scenes to be specific) again thru someway?
or
is it a 1 time deal?
havent seen any mention of it in the brady's guide so prolly not.Originally Posted by Who Dat?

how far away is deathbringer from demonsbane?
what are they under in the lisence board?
does any weapon type suck? (i havent unlocked all of them)
1. ive been playing without either. owning shit just as much as people using them. If i had to make a choice, i'd probably get demonbane.Originally Posted by untouchable
2. what do you mean by "far away" far away on board? far away in how to obtain it?
3. Sword 3 on the license board.
4. Clubs and measures look like they suck.
Deathbringer has 31 more attack than Demonsbane and you can get it just after the dungeon you get Demonsbane in, however it can be kinda tricky to get. It's under Swords 6 on the License grid.
All weapons are good for something, I haven't experimented with them all yet (some haven't been available)... so I don't know if any types are clearly inferior.
I see everyone mentioning gladius, or 3x gladius's or something similar. I have a Demonsbane, 1/4 on it, and it has more attack obviously... but does gladius outweigh it? Or is it just an early on thing? Probably gonna try for deathbringer but even people further than me in the game mention gladius so it makes me curious.
Right now i have Basch using GKT's and i love them, but i was looking into katana's and they look like fun too. Someone mentioned the common stat on katana's is Darkness and it hurts them later on, wondering how late in the game that is because Ashura just became purchasable.
thanks.
Ninja swords have darkness on them.. the katanas don't have that issue.
Referred to them wrong, my bad. Ninja swords i meant instead of "katanas" and GKT's i meant as Katana's. The first katana i got looked like one from FFXI and was 2 handed so i referred to it as GKT lol.
Man what a backfire, nobody answered mine /wrists
i didn't give anyone esper's yet =/ and the only response i got to mine so far was to pick apart my post instead of answering.
You can only have a maximum of 3 Mist Charges I believe. I do know that if you obtain one of the Espers that requires 3 Mist Charges to use (Zodiark, Ultima, etc...) before you get your third Quickening then you get three Mist Charges automatically, just not the Quickening. Maximum is 3 Mist Charges though I think based on the layout of the HP/MP barsOriginally Posted by Celeras
Onto my own Noob question. Is there any way to adjust the water levels in the Waterway in Lowtown? I can't seem to get to White Mousse because of the water levels.
Im asking if espers only give mist charge bars, like quickenings do. With Penelo as my healer, theres no reason for me to ever give her a quickening since ill never want to blow all her mp. She does however, already have belias, and doubling MP would be nice when I get a second esper. And saving a central quickening spot for someone else would be nice.Originally Posted by Illverin
Anyone know for sure?
yes they do
also.. say you have 0 quickenings, but unlock an esper that requires 3 mist charges to summon... once you get that summon, you'll have 3 mist charges, effectively tripling your mp in the process just like quickenings
hope that answers your question
I did the mystery man hunt today and was able to steal Genji gloves and shield yet I can not for the life of me find them on the license grid help me outOne more where is the key to get me into mine section 11. They say its on the beach next to a guy in Phon Coast but I looked through the whole beach no dice
Also about the katana with darkness most things at the end seem to absorb darkness so it kinda sucks.
Genji gloves are in the top right corner of the armor section. 150LP block.

You cant lower the waterway levels until u beat White Mousse actually, cuz reward u get the Sluice Gate key, but there is a way to him from the start without having to lower the water. Stay on the left side of the map, and work your way south, clearing through marlboros/lizards if you can. Get to the big room at the Southwest corner and youll see him.
There's been a lot of people asking "where is such and such on the grid?" So, here's the English version of the grid, all filled in. :D
