BG Bowl Pick Em

I've started a group on ESPN.com's fantasy page for their free Bowl Pick 'Em game. Everyone on this board who claims to know a lot about football now has a chance to back it up.

Go there, log in (you'll have to register if you haven't done it before). Once in, click on find a group or something similar.

If you have problems joining the group for whatever reason, PM me with your e-mail address on this website and I'll send you a direct invite from the ESPN site.

The game not only allows you to pick all the winners, but also assign a certain number of points to, varying from 1-32 (or whatever the top number is). You can then place weight on the bowl games you are more confident in.

For instance, you might know damn well that OSU is going to beat Florida (or vice versa), so you assign that game 32 points, but you have no idea who is going to win the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl, you can assign 1 point to the game. All point values between 1 and 32 must be used, so there's a fair amount of strategy to this as well.

I would ask that everyone include their BG username in some format in their team name, if they could. Much easier to talk shit that way.

I don't believe there's a maximum or minimum number of participants, so all are welcome.

The only prize for first place is a custom BG forum title courtesy of Sonomaa, but if you beat everyone else in every ESPN league, you can win a flat screen TV.

Late edit: apparently, the bowl picks aren't available until Dec 10 (or at least not yet), so I would recommend turning on e-mail reminders.

It appears picks are now available to be made, not sure what the Dec. 10 date meant.

First game is Dec. 19, you can make your picks and new people can join up until that point (maybe even later).

March Madness used to be a time in my life where I'd hide under chairs.

When my school went to March Madness for the first time a riot pretty much broke out. People throwing couches from the 5th floor of dorm rooms and the people outside lighting them on fire immediately. Was good times to say the least.
