Ahh, the good old days of school and snow. I went to a Catholic HS in the heart of the snow belt in Ohio. Since it was a private school they got to make their own decision when it came to closing school due to snow.
Much of the staff lived on campus. If the Headmaster could make it from his bed to the cafeteria for breakfast then school wasn't cancelled. It didn't matter that they had staff on-site plow the snow with both a pickup & plow and a front end loader, that there was still 12" or more of snow on the roads, or that every other school in a 50 mile radius was closed.
I can't count the number to times I was the only moving car on the road, blasting through drifts in my '72 Cutlass, cursing that bastard as he drank his morning cup of clueless. Thank God for 50 series snow tiers and a big block 455.
