    Oh what a wonderful world!

In responce to threads asking "Is FFXI dead yet?", looks to me like the answer is HELL NO!

This is supposedly going to be the full world map of Van'adiel once all is said and done. Ganked from another LS's forums whom supposedly got it from some JP expo?

    http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...world_full.jpg

It looks to me that SE still has many many years of milking the cash cow planned!

15 more major cities to visit, the Island of Tsahya (mithran homeland) and the orcish/gigas contitent have piqued my interest. Perhaps FFXI-2 really will take place in Van'adiel as well? I'm really currrious as to how many more expansions they intend on adding before they make something better then the Ridill?

I'm bored at work so please discuss!

That's fairly interesting if true, but I don't think the playerbase will last that long personally. That looks like about 6 or 7 years worth of content based on the rate at which they release expansions, and I give the playerbase 4-5. Although I suppose after 4-5 years they could just start doing server consolidations if the playerbase starts dwindling too much.

I would love to see all that come into play. The bigger the better IMO. But they need to work on current game conditions, and additions before even planning a new expansion.

I just fear that if the world does become that big one day, that there may be a greater possibility of two or more HNMs with worthwhile loot popping at once. It's already bad enough when Faf, Cerb, Tiamat, and Khimaira are all due at once, though that's usually an easy choice. When Faf isn't due, the choice is much harder.

What I find odd is that only existing cities with mog houses are on the map. No Selbina, Mhara, Rabao, Kazham, Norg, Tavnazian Safehold, or Nashmau. I have trouble believing that Square would make 15 more cities with mog houses.

What JP web page is this from? I think it would be interesting to have some of the people here translate it. (And no, none of that babblefhish garbage.)

But first reaction is that it has to be fake.

Are you actually complaining about the possibility of two mobs with good loot popping at the same time in different parts of the world? I suppose this could be a joke, lol.

Maybe if they released better content the playerbase would last longer than 4-5 years.

It should have been like that from the start, so that Fairy's all twelve shells that all consider themselves HNM can each go fuck with their own mobs and leave each other the hell alone.

I agree with sept. The new places look like they have 'cities' everywhere. Look at this expantion and its one city on the map.

If the current maps had included towns and minor cities I might be more likely to believe it.

Plus if they have the Mithran homeland and don't bother to add in one town or city for the Galkas, I'm going to be very very cross...

This the result of a speculative thread that was posted on the KI General Chat Forums a couple of weeks back...

    http://www.killingifrit.com/forums.p...9f82eaa378c719

Pretty sure that's the same map...

Anyway, it's very interesting and some of the speculation is based on what looks like sound assumptions, but still mostly all speculation.

It's fake, the map of the far east is incorrect which would then suggest the other pieces of the map are incorrect.

They need to speed up some content release a solid expansion or polishing of TOAU would keep the player base going! And as people get bored with their 1 week-1 month then beat the game MMOs they will have something else to want to play !
