Out of curiousity, does Hymnus take priority over RR1 ?

What about RR2 and RR3? Just curious

ive always been weary of hymnus as a whm cause i usually have rr3 up... but i specifically remember one time i had rr3, and a bard casted hymnus, it said i gained the effect of Reraise... when i died and raised up, it was the R3 animation.. this was a while ago though

couldnt check how much xp i lost cause i didnt know what my buffer was before hand

Yea, I was specifically curious to know if Hymnus will take priority over RR or if its only RR and RR2 and RR3 take priority over Hymnus

I'm also pretty sure the EXP Lost is somewhere between a R1 and R2, but I honestly never tested it.

Hymnus takes priority, and its the same as RR1. Even with adding + to hymnus (GJ, other horn), its the same xp loss.

I thought it was less of a loss than R1? I'm pretty sure I had looked at my xp change before and after a Hymnus a long time ago and found it better than R1 but worse than R2.

As for priority, Hymnus won't actually take off your RR effect, so you'll have the song *and* RR up at the same time. However, if you die with Hymnus and RR up, I think it will give you the Hymnus RR rather than your spell/gorget RR.

Although what I haven't tried is to see if I say "No" to the Hymnus RR, will another box pop up asking me if I want to be resurrected with the other RR that I had up... but I doubt it.

Hymnus used to return more exp after KO (50%) than Raise (25%) until the July 2006 version update when Raise and Reraise's returns were increased to match (50%).

Soul Voice is the same xp loss. I haven't tested this in a while, but a couple weeks after I got GJ I tested a ton of stuff to see what songs were different effects (not just duration). Hymnus is just like mazurka as far as song effects go. They are the same (except for duration) with GJ, without, with soul voice, without, etc. etc.

I assumed that hymnus would not take priority if you had reraise up, since I have cast hymnus when I had rr2 up, and I got the "no effect" message.
