Character Restoration: Steps?

Online support being slow as hell, and I can't seem to use search functions or google worth a crap... so......

What all do you need to do to reactivated a character that was on a deleted content ID?

The account was cancelled approx. 2~3 months ago, so I think that's within the restoral limit >.>

Do I have to contact live support directly to restore, or is there a process within POL itself to do so?

Simply using the search, I found this thread and this thread. The former isn't that informative, but it's something nonetheless.

I contcted POL support through the online help, and they restored one of my character IDs so that I could do the rest through POL, which is easy. Mine was deleted for 8 months, which is technically past their "6 months," but they were fine with allowing me to restore it ( I think they keep the data for over year secretly). You may want to try just going into POL and seeing if you can reactivate without contacting them first. Open POL, and I think it's fairly easy to figure out.

On PlayOnline, go to the FFXI page, then "content ID", "Restore Content ID", select the items you want to re-activate, click "validate", done.

If you get weird error messages (stuff that looks like it has never been fully translated from JP), it most likely means that your credit card info are either too old, or just they didn't save it for so long. Just go back to the FFXI page, click "Content ID", "Review Content ID", "Next", and you should have a drop down menu on the next page. On this menu choose "Update payment info", put on your credit card info, click "validate", "validate" again, and you're done. Just repeat step 1 to finally re-activate your content IDs. Worked instantly for me.
