[limbus] Tips for duo temenos east

I've recently started duoing limbus with a blm friend (I'm blm too), and we just completed our first temenos attempt. We're alternating Apollyon NW and Temenos E for AF/coins, and Apollyon went well.

Temenos however, didn't go so well. We cleared 3 eles with one stupidity/bad luck wipe, and got the item chest with 3 minutes remaining (gogo pld -_-). However, I feel like we should be clearing the whole floor and making inroads to floor 2. Can anyone offer some tips on this?

Aspir like mad, bring yag drinks, and just hope to get both item chests in a timely fashion. If you get time right away, pop it and move up. The one time I tried duoing it, we got to the 3rd floor and died to garuda on our random guess with 30s remaining (went item -> time -> item). It just includes the luck factor of when you get what chests, and if you avoid avatars and the like. No where near as consistent as you can be on kings with a couple BLMs.
