applied to linkshell today, curious because ive heard the name before.

Decent player, I'd say. He was one of the leaders of the linkshell FortyTwo I was in a while back. As long as you keep him out of a position of power you'd probably be ok with him... he can be quite the fascist.

He tried to sell his account a few times if that bothers you. For some reason half the people I used to talk to pawned off their accounts despite complaining about RMT all the time when they were still playing. I'm still bitter that he won lot on a BRD AF hat from Dyna-Sanny that he was afk the entire time for and then sold his account to a friend the next day, he was allowed to lot but man that stung. ; ;

I don't think he's a bad player, I'm just put off due to moral differences and angst over not having a purple muffin on my head.

lol, power hungry asshole from everyone I have talked to about him. He basically single-handedly drove the linkshell he was a leader of into the ground after lootwhoring a lot of gear. He attempts to grab power from any position he is given, and I've heard of many instances of being bipolar on vent. I've never personally dealt with the guy though, but I know he is a good player

I'm going to tell you what I know of him, and my experiences in the short lived FortyTwoLS.

He was a sackholder, not the linkshell leader. He got hot-headed at times, but all in all he's looking for a fresh start. As far as I've known him in FortyTwo, he never came off to me as powerhungry, nor as much of a lootwhore.

In my opinion and observations of the events that had occurred, Machtaru was not the reason for why FortyTwoLS broke.

A number of contributing factors lead to that mostly having to do with the original shellholder, Sxdigital getting "hacked", and the subsequent events that followed afterwards, to which Machtaru had no truly negative part in, however it ended with alot of people spreading some ungrounded statements about him and his involvement in leadership during that time.

I'm not going to say he wasn't a bit of an ass.

He was a real jerk to alot of people after what happened, and as a result lost alot of friends, including some of mine and most likely made enemies. Ask him and he'll admit that as one of his mistakes shortly after the fall of FortyTwo and something he regrets greatly. Talking to him on vent, he does have a temper, and thats something he'll admit to also, perhaps being his biggest flaw.

There isn't much I know about the BRD AF lotting thing, other than the fact that he told me about how bad he felt about it. Granted, it doesn't change what happened, though, and I can understand that what ultimately happened wasn't the right thing anyway, and it should have gone to somebody who was there the whole time. I've never known him to be AFK for long periods of time, without good reason, for which he usually informs others of in advance.

I know he has tried a few times to sell his account, as in the end of all that had happened, he lost hope in the game.

The truth is, he's an honest and all-around great player whom, for whatever it may mean, I can vouch for.

I am really sad to see him leave our server, but after everything that had happened, I can only sympathize.

I highly doubt he'll be interested in a position of power in any linkshell. Like any person in this game, he's just looking for a bit of fun.

I honestly believe he can be a positive, contributing member to whatever linkshell he's in, as he has been in the past time that I've known him.

He's a very experienced player I think very highly of.

I have heard stories about him going apeshit on vent. Screaming, Throwing his Keyboard/headset across the room etc.

I have never really met the guy, but this is what i heard from people who actually knew him.

I could possibly understand if he was one of those people who was like 0/17 on Snoll Tzar (Sad, I know... if you beat Snoll Tzar post-nerf, don't say anything) that would be incredibly frustrating. Hopefully it wasn't something like Mammets or Sacrarium or something like that.

I think i remember him smashing his headset over Wyvernpoacher not dropping O bow. and he flipped out on vent because he DCed during our Promathia fight. He is a good player tho.

I'm in a unique position to comment here. Name's Fortytwo. I was invited to join FortyTwo at like level 40something, because I had the same name and it amused one of the sackholders immensely. This put me in the position of being the only person in the LS without something to offer Mach. And I'm one of those people who doesn't care who the hell you are, you're getting told that you're stupid when you do something I see as stupid. Those two combined... you know.

I cannot in good conscience recommend Mach for any position within a linkshell consisting of any number of well-balanced players who don't like facist asshats. Especially a position of authority.

I'll say this for him, though, he does have some skill. So if your whole LS is like him, he's a perfect fit.

EDIT: Hey, I remember this! Wasn't it originally "worthless piece of shit", or am I misremembering? Anyway, anyone interested in him should look at his LJ, that seems like the best way to find out what he's all about. Didn't want to just post a one-sided argumentative post.

Mach is a good guy. He got a bad rep because of some drama that went down when FortyTwo broke. He had nothing to do with stealing anything.

He can get hot headed at times, but anyone who says they haven't is a liar. He did get a little loud on vent, but that was usually when people were bitching or moaning, and quite honestly it shut them up, which was nice.

Solid player, well worth your time.
