Just picked up both items for the af+1, my question to you BG is, does the +1 of these increase the avatar accuracy more than the NQ AF? or is it the same?

I don't think anyone's ever found the orginals boosted Avatar Accuracy by any measureable amount. It's like a reverse latent effect.
I'd get the boots +1 if you don't have them already over the legs. The "Enhances Avatar Evasion" on those doesn't seem any more significant than the original if that's any indication of what to expect with the legs +1. Perpetuation cost -1 is nice to have though.
Yea... That's what I was leaning towards, I saw some guy running around with the spats though so figured I'd throw that idea out there, thanks![]()
As far as I'm aware, none of the "Enhances" traits of NQ AF are improved upon for AF+1. I just got SMN AF+1 pants for the extra MP, really.
Avatars are so random as it is, it's pretty much impossible to even guage how much of a bonus AF legs are anyway. Besides, the Laws of FF11 for Summoner say the more gear you get, the shittier your avatars perform. (311 skill, relic body, gloves, and feet, AF+1 pants, full acc. and att. merits; last Tiamat I never broke 600 and had three sub-100 Predator Claws in a row.)
i like to solo on smn, but the avatar -enmity is lame
you also lose the evasion skill+10 going from NQ evokers spats to +1....
not that is matters much with such low skill... but I figure if you enjoy soloing that tha NQ spats are better than the HQ for it.
Yea.. that pisses me off :/ I have the worst time soloing Imps because I have to sit there and let garuda hit them 5-6 times to ensure the imp wont come running after me when I hit my BP, it's frustrating. At least the YY Robe has + on it, that equals out the - on the rest of the AF I wear. I'm just gonna get the boots, beats wearing Rostrum Pumps.Originally Posted by Nirokun!
Does not improve the accuracy. Sorry;;
So, I was always told that AF2 hands and AF1 legs DO NOT stack, and I've stood by that for 2 years and never asked anyone. What do you guys think?
It's honestly pretty hard to tell. I usually hit my BPs in full AF2 for max -BP timer then swap in AF1 legs (and a few other things included in my BP DMG macro) before the BP goes off. TBH, I do not think they stack, but I usually swap in the legs just out of habit (plus AF2 legs do nothing for your BP dmg anyway).
well, maybe af1 legs are like a sniper ring, and af2 hands are like an optical hat
af2 hands will have a bigger accuracy-feel to them because of the 10smn skill
until SE gives us a menu to show our accuracy (and our pet's accuracy) it will be hard to say whether or not they stack (or how much accuracy they add). given that its impossible to test, would you forego the possible bonuses on af1 legs for the crappy ones on af2 legs? (i have full af2, with 2HQ pieces, and honestly, nobody really BPs on their timer; the only mob where that *kind of happens* for me is doing 3BPs on tiamat while she's on the ground, but i dont need to use my -BP macro to do it)
and for all my BPs lately, i've been beginning my Rage BPs in all my dmg gear (instead of -BP gear, then swapping to rage gear) because of lag issues and a fear that the bonuses wont be up at the time of the hit. maybe im gullible for the placebo effect trying something new, but it looks to be a better option, at least in my case. (this all began after doing a barspell outside of my moghouse [windy], getting 135effect, then doing the same barspell without switching gear back, and getting 140effect. my macro swapped in all my barspell gear without a wait on the barspell)
Well, here's an example BP macro for me:
I try to work all the -bp stuff on once i hit the macro, then 2 seconds later, the crit gear goes on, then after BP is done, sacrifice torque comes off. My release macro puts on my yinyang robe and gaiters.Code:keyboard_bind !f3 input /equip neck "Sacrifice torque";input /equip feet "Summoner's Pgch.";input /equip hands "Smn. Bracers +1";input /pet "Spinning Dive" <t>;input /pet "Predator Claws" <t>;input /pet "Mountain Buster" <t>;input /pet "Rush" <t>;input /pet "Flaming Crush" <t>;input /pet "Chaotic Strike" <t>;input /pet "Nether Blast" <t>;wait 2;input /equip body "Summoner's Doublet";wait 5;input /equip neck "Fenrir's Torque";
do you have a rage macro that isnt made for a BP => release setup? you say you have to hit release to get your YYR back on (looks like your summoner's doublet stays on fulltime until you release or hit another macro?)
my rage macro just swaps in all the gear, then i alt+b the BP, then either hit my release macro, or a standing gear macro (which has all my -perp/idle gear)
i guess it can be cumbersome to have to go into the pet command menu, open up rages, and click the BP you want, then to confirm it, but i feel like i have more control over my avatars and have more options open to me (eclipse bite/crescent fang/poison nails [dont you lol at me, its good])
I also have a Perpetuation gear macro that I hit after bloodpacts if I plan on keeping the avatar out. It puts on Nashira hands, yinyang robe, and af1+1 feet. I also have a straight up AF2 body macro just incase it's the proper day.
I'm going to send you a PM with my macros so you can see how many I actually have haha. I have alot Q_Q. (all level 1 bloodpacts on alt+f1 OK!!!!)
i sent you mine :3 i have more
i have problems remembering whats on macros now that i look at them before i press them, so i dont think i could have separate macro sets for Lv70, Lv60, Lv10, and w/e else i saw down there lol
edit: oh yeah, i have a summoner's doublet macro just written into my macro palette, its on an alternate palette all by itself![]()
Busting out a barracuda dive mid JoL is FANTASTIC!!! You need a macro for it!Originally Posted by Nirokun!

Many of Japanese speakers agree with this conclusion, but feel free to investigate for yourself.
The +1s are actually better for solo in that you get some -Enmity applied to you, the SMN. Not to mention once you upgrade both spats and boots, you get to storage the rest of the set and forget about it.![]()
my macro set just swaps the gearOriginally Posted by Izzy
should i feel so inclined, i could fire one of those without issue (but i would never feel so inclined unless it was 1% and dying and i had no mp to get a higher BP out, and everyone else was dead)
i've heard this before, but i thought it had to do with the funny stats that were on the af1+1 feet? then they fixed itOriginally Posted by Hakamaru
i figured the af1 legs would have been fixed in the same run, but i guess not
time to wait for glittering yarn/astral leather again(and i just used up a set a couple weeks ago upgrading the horn because i wanted the inventory back
