I don't believe in death penalty either.. but it fits the standard for life in prison.

It is such a depraved act.

It isn't like the baby is going to kill you, or rob you, or threaten you, etc. You haven't had any arguments with the child.. it hasn't done anything wrong. It was killed simply because someone didn't feel like going through the last months of pregnancy.

Ughhh touchy subject but I just don't think irresponsible people should have kids. If you feel like you wouldn't be a good parent, then you should have the choice to abort if you want to. Shit happens to even the most careful of people. I also think you shouldn't have sex, or at least practice safe sex if you don't want kids...hell there are so many different kinds of contraceptives/morning after pills/etc. out there that it makes it practically impossible to get pregnant if you really are educated and responsible about it. I realize a lot of people don't fall into this category, which is why abortion should still be an option. I'd rather have someone abort than try to raise a child that they don't want in substandard conditions.

The unborn fetus doesn't have a memory or anything...I refuse to believe that it's the same as murder. That choice isn't affecting anyone but the parents of said fetus. In comparison, it's pretty light compared to the murder of someone that knows other people and has ties to the world already. Should not carry the same sentence. Just because you disagree doesn't mean it's wrong in my opinion.

Just a side note, but if some cold-blooded murderer makes a genuine attempt on your life (typical death penalty case), but somehow you pull through, what sort of penalty is the would-be-murderer eligable for? If you had died, he would have gotten the chair, but against all odds, you survived and the doctors were able to save you, would they get only life in prison? Or something even less?

Yeah that's another situation that's fucked up. I wish people would just stop concerning themselves over things that don't affect them :/ These kinds of things are individual, personal things. If you think it's wrong, don't do it. Just agree to disagree on this topic imho

What about adoption? All those parents out there who can't have children will be more than happy to pay for the costs of your pregnancy. When you actually have the child your employer is required by law to give you time off and pay you for it. The adoptive parents are desperate for a child and will give it a great future and much love.

No one is forcing anyone to have children, there are options.

If that single strand of DNA belongs to something alive, and that DNA is human the living being is also human. It has its own unique DNA unlike anyone else in the entire world. It will grow up to have its own unique feelings, its own favorite color, and if given to adoptive parents(in America) would better opportunity at life than more than like 90% of the rest of the planet. This child could grow up to be the person who finds the cure for cancer.

I have to say that video was kinda funny, All those people have been doing it for 2-5+ Years but never have thought about what should happen to a woman if they have an Illegal abortion. iirc there are already tons of kids waiting to be adopted that stay in orphanages/foster care forever. You can't just take abortion out of the equation and force people to birth these kids and just lump them all into an orphanages. I personally know people that were adopted and in and out of foster care their entire lives, my own father being one of these people. Most of the time it's unpleasant, substandard, and downright shitty for the child. Not to say that it can't be a good experience. I don't know everything about the adoption process in the USA but from what I do know it's painstaking and fussy.
