Why people get kicked from Uber.

What's more important to the players of ffxi, Real life events such as school and work or game events?
On Augest 9th I got kicked from Uber Linkshell because Virusiidx believed that in game events, or rather, his
linkshell events were more important than real life responsiblities. It started with a simple question about why I
was removed from Love torque list without warning. The reply was, well, you'll find out for yourself.

For those of you who don't know about Uber, it is a Limbus/Sea LS. Right now, they are trying to expand into HNM,
sky, or any other end game event. Virus believes that in order to do such a thing he must be able to depend on the
PERFECT or NEAR PERFECT attendance of MOST of his members. He calls this "active members". Now as the screenshots
show, he doesn't give any regard to everyday problems in real life. Does he expect his members to have the same type
of "dedication"? I would hope not. In a previous arguement I had with him about their "LS Novio", he stated that
even if a member was "active" after he or she gets the "Kirin's Osode of Sea" if their attendance drops, he would
reposess the item and give it to another "more worthy member". He said this stating that "it was how all the other
big LS's do it". Two of the main HNM shells on Unicorn are Pxtzel and Wabo (since Fortune jumped servers). Since
Virus refers to them as an example for why his LS rules are the way they are (since "valid excuses" are against LS
rules) I've come across a few screenshots of my own.

Isn't it funny how the leaders of Pxt and Wabo both put real life before their Linkshell events. So, you ask, well
that's two people, I mean surely, one of the prominent member of Uber itself would disagree.

Konekochan is Uber's lead black mage, with the attendance only second to Virus and Iceal (his gf). She is Uber's
Novio holder, and Virus and Ice's real life friend. Yet, she doesnt believe in what Virus is saying.
So, that makes three people. Let us rack up the count... with some more well known Pxt and Wabo members.

These are all people who have tons of sucessful HNM experience. Oh, I forgot to mention, another reputable name and
another fellow black mage who has been in Pxt, Fortune, Venicia, and Pain. He is now in Uber. He is second lead
black mage in Uber. I wonder what he thinks.

Remember in the conversation Virus and I had, he mentioned Benkyo right before he kicked me from LS (lol, AFTER he
says that he wasn't going to kick me). That got me curious. What had happened between Benkyo and Virus? I went on to
Uber site, and before I even found the topic about Benkyo and Virus, I found something more interesting.

I was removed from Love Torque list for missing a total of two runs. While Ryukotsusei was placed on the list even
though he has missed more then 50% of the total runs since he has been in Uber. From what I have heard, Ryu was also
there the day Virus decided that Kone no longer qualified to be the LS's Novio holder "due to her lack of commitment
towards the LS". Isn't it strange that Ryu, who has been in Uber much longer then Kone, would be held in such good
favor by Virus. Ryu's points (90 points dated 8-5-07) and Kone's points (167 points dated 8-5-07) and he has the
audacity to tell Kone that her attendance is lacking? Virus seems to be playing favorites. Think about all the gear
Ryu has gained from Uber: Alturistic Cape, Homam Corazza, Homam Cosciales, and Nashira Seraweels. He is second on
Hope torque list, third on Novio, fifth on Love torque (he replaced me on Love Torque list). Don't you think that,
by Virus's rules, what he is getting is a little excessive considering he doesn't have at least 90% attendance?
According to Virus, to get items from Uber, members are required to maintain "active status" which is at least 90%
attendance to all mandatory events. So why is Ryu so high on all the lists? This is the lot list for Sea drops in
Uber. Lol see for yourself.

Anyways, back to Benkyo. I wanted to get his opinion on Uber's rules, and low and behold, he said something far more
interesting then I could have expect.

Virus's ablility to change the rules of his LS is a dangerous thing. From what I have heard from other Uber members
and from what I have come to believe, Uber was not always like this. All these changes have come recently. So, the
main question, everyone must ask, is WHY? Does he really believe that more "dedication" will make his LS succeed?
What about valuable players? Players with experience? Does he count on those people?
On Auguest 17th, Friday Night, Uber did a Jormy run. I continued to talk to certain members in Uber about the
progress of the run. Virus decides to gather people around 5:30-6:00pm PST. They claimed Jormy at around 7:30. From
various sources, the run was a complete disaster. They took about three and a half hours to take Jormy down from
100% to 20%. They needed to sleep him more then ten times after he was under 30%. Then, the worst thing that could
have happend, did. Someone Called for Help on Jormy. Now, honestly, how can a LS that did so horribly on a NM that
ISN'T camped, do Fafnir decently. With all the lag caused by other LS's is Uber going to be able to function? Will
they be able to kill? When a tank dies, how many times are they going to sleep it? What is going to happen when time
runs out and Faffy goes into hyper mode? Are they going to CFH?

On another note, Uber's enthusiasm towards camping HNM's is only matched by the hubris in his LS. He cracks jokes
about Vielside (now Grudge), yet in the same week when Uber failed at Jormy, VS claimed and killed Fafnir back to
back. VS has also defeated Jormy in the past. So, how is it that Virus can crack jokes on a LS that has obviously
exceeded what Uber has done in the HNM scene.
Personally, I feel that many of the things that Virus has done is wrong. Many of the things Uber members think about
their success rate in the HNM scene are misguided. Virus has openly wronged many "dedicated" members. He has harmed
the reputation of his LS. He pickes favorites and isn't afraid to hide it. He openly slanders previous members of
his Linkshell immediatly after kicking them. He does this in effort to prevent fellow LS members from inquiring
about the removal of certain people. Anyone that raises questions about some of the unethical rules Virus has
enforced upon his Linkshell is either removed for forced to leave. Most people are unaware of the recurrent logical
fallacies he forces on his members. People will continue to join Uber, but before you do, ask yourself. Will you let
Virus screw you over? Or will you be his puppy?

while i don't know your work schedule, and i'm sure you work hard to make a living like all of us, but i can understand what your leader means.

there's a few ppl in my ls that always show up 2hours late, or after the event is completely finished. and even though they log off at the event spot and try to get there as quickly as possible... its still not fair that they get priority over the people who can make it all the time. some people have no responsibilities, and some people have work/school schedules that fit perfectly with an ls... what your leader tried to say several times is: you should find an ls that better suits your schedule. its not so much he wants you to be on 24/7, but that maybe your playtimes aren't that good for the ls

if the leaders of the other 2 ls' on your server agree with you so much, then why don't they ask you to apply for them?

Anyway, the novio(or novia) rule is very stupid, but I guess some LSes like working that way. Your LS leader sounds like a bad guy, and is obviously wrong if it's true you only missed very few events due to work. If you missed under 50%, then perhaps he wasn't entirely wrong, not that it justifies his other flaws.

That's such madness. If he's trying to expand the LS, then he should know trapping people in situations they don't want to be in (being told that they live and breath for this game), he's going to get more members leaving or quitting the game completely than a growing ls. That is not the way successful linkshells do things. Don't get me wrong i'm dedicated, but i'd dedicate my foot to the ass of anyone who tells me game > gallery show or game >work/school.

Attendance to most LS leaders is very important and shows that you are willing to put forth the effort to better the LS. If you can't make the times, obviously thats not the LS for you.

Btw, do you think by posting here all the other endgame LS leaders are going to all of a sudden want you? They saw how sandy your vagina got about this guy, i'm sure they're just dying to have you in their LS...

Yeah I'd have to say the same thing if this is really the case. Attending a lot to even be listed for a Love Torque & then missing 2 runs and now he's been pulled from that list even tho he explained he had to work?

I'd like to hear from this person he's bitching about and see if he can legitly explain his actions because right now he's not looking too good..
