Not usually SE's style, but maybe they increase the likelyhood of attaining innate feral Skills?

What were your results when you try to make mobs form your plates?

8/12 captures with NQ plates is pretty damn good, I must say.

I'm going to assume it's simply a success/fail rate improvement.

Might you try recording results with and without the hat? Just noticed rolling crew, I assume both had no hats, so as expected, it prolly just increases ur chance of getting a soul plate and nothing else.

    Hehe pokeball :3

Bet this is it, otherwise its not nearly worth 5k IS just to get better trait capture rate when they alrdy made it very easy to obtain any ability (aside maybe the -en spells which seem to be less common)

Even so, the good en-spells don't come off anything that the hats would help on... SE really let me down again, wasted 1mil on all hats thinking they would help.

I don't think it's SE fault... you bought all 5 hats... without a single report of information...

The hats are virtually free, anyway. Gaining Jettons is really easy just by having your monster fight. Get a Wamoura without traits, and just have it fight repeatedly (or put it in Diablo) until you have enough for a hat, then you can toss the Wamoura if you want, or let it keep fighting for more Jettons.

I have always had better results on normal plates. High Speed plates seem to just let you be done and able to move again faster, least for me. I went 0/3 HS plates on Demonic tiphia yesterday and 6/6 with normal 2 jetton plates (demonic tiphia also didn't link with wespe or aggro for some reason). My results with Ash dragon, Vouivre, and Sewer Syrup were more of the same. I do use the expensive camera (of which I do believe helps)

I used to think HS plates were better for capturing at the start of this event, but I like to solo capture NMs that aggro (or are sposed to like DT) and being able to snap and run was quite useful. I go through 4 stacks of plates on each NM and spend 2500 jetton and end up with 15-20 plates captured. This got very very costly on my isp, so I decided to bring 2 stacks of each instead. When I had over double the capture rate on the cheap "normal quality" plates, I decided "high speed" meant only that.

So far these are the NM/HNM I have done this on.
Cerberus,Hydra,Count Dracula, Ash Dragon, Vouivre, Guivre, Tarasque, Demonic Tiphia, Sewer Syrup, Jorm, Tiamat, Alastor Antlion, all the besieged HNM wannabe, Ose, Charybdis, all limbus king copies, proto-ultima/omega/gunpods.

Besieged/limbus mobs and alastor antlion were just a few shots each. But the others I got a full 48 shots off and my results with HS plate always suck compared to the normal plates. Some mobs were randomly encountered and a few shots taken, but I went back to them fully stocked and without mining gear/equipment afterwards.

I havent yet decided to get a hat since I have the NQ ones already, but eventually I will go back and try applicable NMS with them.

    Round 3

    Target: Anansi
    camera: NQ + NQ film
    2/3 (bastards killed to fast)

    Plate: attack + 15% | Pet: None
Plate: VIT +25 | Pet: None

    Target: Son of Anansi
    Camera: NQ + NQ film
    3/4

Plate: plantiod killer | Pet: none
    Plate: attack +15% | Pet: Attack + 15%
Plate: Slowing attack | Pet: None

i believe caps only affect the ability to snap a mob now

More importantly, can you use the tiny spider to fight?
