PS3 Filter Issue

I recently purchased a PS3 and installed FFXI with no problems. I have all effect filters on except my actions, lotting and synth results but all effects are still showing. At first I did'nt notice but after joining a party for the first time in awhile it happened. It really is a pain and is creating ridiculous lag, I can't even participate in beseiged because my character just freezes which it never did before when I was on PS2. My chat filters are working but I'm still seeing all effects. I'm playing on a plasma tv with HDMI connection which I don't think would cause this issue although I could be wrong? Has anyone had this problem or have any ideas how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Try unclicking and reclicking filters, I know sometimes my computer didn't register filters I had on and I had to do that to fix it

Assuming of course, I interpreted your post correctly, filters on not stopping effects

Yes my filters are on but not stopping effects. I tried unclicking and clicking again but it did'nt work. I really don't know what else to do.

I still have'nt found a way to resolve this issue and it's really driving me nuts. I sent a email to POL tech support a week ago but they have'nt replied yet. Has anyone had this problem or know a way to fix it? Thanks.
