Basically, there's not a whole lot of information, but I thought I'd share it for those interested. Some of the main points:

- The guy asking the questions jokes a bit about the possibility of Dancer being a surprise tank job. The response does not right out deny it, but it seems unlikely dancer will be a tank. The response was along the lines of "If the Dancers were tanking, the party set up would be DNC DNC DNC WHM RDM BRD."

- Time Mage was brought up by the one asking the questions in the article as a high possibility for being added, but there was no confirmation or denial of plans for its existence.

- What was said about the dancer is that rather than buffing party members like BRD and COR, dancer will be enfeebling mobs. Though no details were mentioned specifically. They did make mention of being an "attacker" (DD) type job and specifically sited the ability "Sword Dance". He didn't actually say whether the FFXI Dancer will get sword dance though. But he did reference older FF games which means we will very likely see most of the past abilities in FFXI.

edit made the Time Mage point a little clearer. Realized it sounded like I said the devs said it would have a high possibility of coming into FFXI when they didn't say much.

Everyone has always loved BRD because they specialize in making your job stronger, better, faster, etc... What if dancer makes the mob weaker therefor making your job stronger against it? Sounds interesting indeed. I personally think it is safe to say Time Mage is going to be added, about as safe to say as the black cat in the red cape is CaitSith.

That's all that I could infer from there being three Dancers in a party with two other buff/debuffers.

That's because the original poster from Alla thought it was and wrote it accordingly. Checking the original article, it says they are just two writers, and at the bottom even credits them as simply just two players from two different servers.

Making the mob weaker is always better than buffing the party. I remember reading a studiogobli article where they said lowering the mob's attack was better than raising your defense, and lowering the mob's defense was better than raising your attack by the same amount.
