"upgrading" to xp

My recent laptop came with vista on it, but It's given me nothing but issues. To downgrade to XP, do i just need to put in an XP disk and follow the instructions? Or is there more to it that i should know before attempting to change the OS?

Are you just replacing VISTA?

Just boot up the XP disc during start up and follow the instructions, delete your vista partition etc.

Easy as pie.

Make sure your Laptop's manufacturer has the XP drivers on it's websites. Some models don't have them. We had this problem at my work last week, but we didnt find out until after we(my coworker) formatted the recovery partition.
