Retain a POL ID?

My friend was thinking of coming back since I came back but he doesn't remember his POL ID. Is there anyway SE can give it to him? He has his registration codes and everything still but doesn't remember that vital piece of information. Any help and info is much appreciated.

It depends on how long it's been. I was under the belief that they purge accounts after lengthy periods of inactivity.

The only sure way to know would be to call Customer Service. They might do something silly like ask for the last two credit cards on the account though. They did that to me once just to reset my password when I could provide the registration codes.

It might just be easier to get a new copy of the game.

Friend of mine just came back after 20 months so I'm guessing they don't purge accounts now.

how can someone not have recorded their member/pol id's and passwords, but still keep their registration codes safe - most normal people would on buying the game write their ID's and passwords down on same sheet/backpage of the manual... and if he previously "quit" why would he care to keep the registration codes safe anyway

this just seems really dodgy to me, looks like someones trying to find a way to find out ID's...
