    DoT Spells

    How much do the following spells do, and what are their modifiers if any? I looked on wiki and only found information for Bio II.

    Dia II
    Dia III
    Bio III
    Elemental Enfeebs (Shock, Choke, etc)
    Poison II
    Requiem (whatever the highest one is)

    Also, a side newb question but are there any more DoT spells that can be stacked with these? (I realize all the dias/bios don't stack)

    Elemental Debuffs (Choke, Shock, Burn, etc...) deal DOT based on the casters INT. iirc, it maxes at 5/tic @ 150 INT, though I know not if it can be improved beyond that.

    Requiem is 1/tic for each tier of the spell, ie: Foe Requiem VI would be 6/tic, insturments that enhance the effect add their +modifier to the DOT.

    Poison II I believe is a straight 10/tic. As for Bio III, I've not had that cast on me before so I don't have solid info on that.

    dia II: 2hp per tick: nothing alters this
    Dia III: 3hp per tick: nothing alters this

    Bio II:
    200-210 dark skill > 5dmg/tic
    211-268 dark skill > 6dmg/tic
    269-290 dark skill > 7dmg/tic
    291+ dark skill > 8dmg/tic

    Bio III: (can't find the info exactly but memory is)
    200-210 dark skill > 7dmg/tic
    211-268 dark skill > 8dmg/tic

    Poison II: (can't find my notes, but all I remember is)
    250+ enfeeble skill = 10 damage tick
    and there is tiers below this with different damage values

    Nagamaki's Dia Wand tests indicate that it adds a +1 to Dia's DoT, in case you were wondering.

    corsair shots can also affect the DoT on these spells as can be seen in this post:

    speaking of that post, has anyone tried darkshotting someone who is cursed from blm jse? i know tossing a blm at some of the bigger mobs to curse them and cut off a chunk of their HP to open is something that's done sometimes. if you could amp that up with a darkshot and get a few more % for free, that might be interesting.

    Dark Shot only dispels now just like Light shot only sleeps. I love having sleep and dispel on another job but I HATE that I can't enhance Dia >_<

    i thought i read that it still caused the elemental debuff in addition to the dispel/sleep, they just dropped damage from it. maybe i'm wrong though.

    curius question but does any stats influence Quick Draw Shots potency. And by that I mean the amount the debuff is enhanced not the resist/dmg of quick draw that is influenced by the AGI stat. Looking at the link its a flat number of 5% of Defense/Attack down on Dia/Bio of the base Defense/Attack of the enemy and a +5% on slow. The COR was naked, I wonder if INT or anyhting else will enhance the amount.

    I honestly haven't seen any test, but the numbers enhanced seem pretty static

    When we do Ouryu we have a BLM pull him and get hit once, when curse procs it removes like 7% of his HP lol.

    It's what SE said they did, but the log messages for light shot/dark shot don't seem to add up to this actually happening. Then again, the log message for Light Shot was completely stupid right after that update >.> It would be nice to have someone test it again; I just haven't gotten around to it.

    Speaking of BLM curse.. wtf was this fixed? Just the other week was the first time ive ever noticed it going off, and it happened like every other hit too.

    In my experience, I've always noticed it goes off often. I would notice the mob's HP change after a strike with no DoT effects on or see the message that the curse wore if it was a long enough fight. It is only recently that they added the corresponding chat log message when it activates.

    I'm finally levelling COR (the only job of mine that was still at level 1) and during a fight a while back, after the RDM cast Dia II I /checked the mob. It said it had "high defense". I used Light Shot, and /checked again and there was no message about its defense anymore.

    I can't testify to the effect on DoT, but it seems that it does enhance the defense down effect. Perhaps it enhances both.

    Curse, really? What mobs does this work on? Would it work on a Salvage boss maybe >.>

    Curse works on just about anything in the game as far as I know. I did a few tests and so far there isn't an HNM in the game I haven't been able to inflict this on.

    Gravity+Curse is so sexy during solo. Even if SE add a MAB+10 body piece, I'm never selling my Weskit.
