What does the rampart enhancement on the Valor coronet do?

Can the enhancements to abilties from Valor Surcoat, Valor Leggings, and Gallant Coronet remain active when the equipment is swapped out? (do you need to keep the gear equipped for it to work?)

Adds 15 seconds to duration, but you have to keep it equipped.

Not sure about Leggings. They make sentinel reduce 100% of damage for the first second or so. Unsure if macroing them out straight away removes this effect (but as the effect only lasts 2 or 3 seconds at the most its easy enough to just keep them equipped). I think you have to keep surcoat on for effect, unsure though.

Um dont need to keep it equipped, just macro'd in properly.

Leggings are the same way. Sentinel starts at about 100% dmg reduction on first hit instead of around 90% on normal gear.

Valor Surcoat has to stay on.

Valor gauntlets have to stay on for the shield bash.
