Gear/Gil stolen, can anything be done?

Hey guys, long time reader and first time poster!

Posting on behalf of a friend of mine who doesnt have forum access to the moment.

Well, last night while I was asleep my account was jacked, most of my gear stolen and gil taken. I'll admitt that it was nothing very high end but it was still gear I'd farmed long and hard to get (I still have all rare/ex gear).
At the moment, since I still have access to my account Im assuming this was an an inside job by someone with my account details. I know the info isn't supposed to be shared but these were people who I thought I trusted.

So my question is...is there anything the GMs can do to give me back my lost gear, or even to track down the person who did this so I can confront them personally. At the moment Im clueless as to who it was. And I dont want to waste my time wrapped up in expensive phonecalls to SE dealing with GMs who might not be able to do anything to help my case.

I know this will probably be moved from the advanced section since I shared my user info...but any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.

no nothing can be done. as sad as it is. also you can be relieved in knowing that you won't be wrapped up in phone calls or GM calls because everyone will tell you the same stuff; you can't get it back unless it was dropped, thrown or eaten. so save yourself the stress and be happy the person who did it didn't drop all your rare/ex, transfer servers and then get you banned.

i'm with you on the unfortunate event, but save yourself and a GM an irritating call and just move on. gl

Have you EVER met these people irl? No? The only interaction you've had with them is in-game? Yes? Then don't fucking give them your account information! "But they're my friends!" ... that you met on a GAME, a virtual world. YOU DON'T KNOW THESE PEOPLE!

Best option... I have a shared account that I havebeen using and after an argument with my friend decided that it was not longer in my best interest to keep using this shared account because you never know what people are going to do >_>
In the process of liquedating my assets and will be buying a new CD Key to start over... even though me and my friend are back on good terms.

I've given out my account info to like 2-3 people when I've asked them to log in and do an event for me I can't make over the years, and usually switch the password after they're done on it and I come back. I also have the info to these people's accounts as well (not that they can't just change it if they wanted to try and screw me though). The only person who has my information always current is my brother, so I'm not exactly worried.

But yeah. Give out your ID/PW, you risk losing everything. Don't do it unless you're willing to take the risk that you might log in and everything will be gone, and if you don't have a way to get it back (aka beating the crap out of someone IRL) then you're screwed, and stop whining on forums, you're just going to get torn apart here too.

It's a risk you are taking by giving out your info, regardless of how much you trust people. I've had friends get hacked by people who were really good friends with. If you give your info out, you did it to yourself. If someone had my info, and I get hacked, shame on me.

Could be an inside job based on what you say, but it also could be an RMT job based on the fact it mirrors many of the aspects of of the Blitzkrieg strategy that some RMT use in getting money, sellables without changing over your info.

Sweep for keyloggers, do some detectivework on the 'friends' that had the login info and dont bother with SE, they are too busy sending people from December on Wild Goose Chases.
