    Wii games question

Thinking about buying a Wii today, will pick up two games, one of them will be Smash Bros Brawl, hands down. But debating wether I should get Zelda or Mario Galaxy as the 2nd one...I like both games but I have no real clue which one will last longer or provide more fun.

    Any opinions?

Oh man you shouldn't have even bothered with the Wii, especially with it's upcoming line up of crap.

If you really have to choose though I would go with Super Mario Galaxy. Zelda TP was way too damn easy and just an overall let down. If you haven't played Zelda Wind Waker I suggest you buy that instead.

I've played Wind Waker, but I read somewhere that Twilight Princess lasts 55 hours...so I really wanted to ask if that's true, since I was mildly disappointed by Wind Waker.

It can be pretty long yes, usually just depends on the player. I just think it was way too easy, especially the final battle. I enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy all the way through a lot more than Zelda TP.

Ok, thanks a lot for your replies, will grab Galaxy then...I was reflecting about buying Metroid 3, but I heard it only lasts 8 hours or so...

There's plenty of good titles available for the Wii to validate getting one, especially since it's so cheap. And there's a few gems I'm looking forward to, such as Tales of Symphonia 2.

Anyway, I'd recommend Twilight Princess over Mario Galaxy. MG was fun (And occasionally frustrating) from start to finish, but Twilight Princess was just a wonderful experience. I played through it twice (The second time to collect and unlock everything), and I only played MG once and didn't even bother to unlock all the extra stuff.

Agreed on galaxy being annoying and incredibly overrated.

Personally I'd say grab the GC version of TP, fuck the wiimote for that shit, ugh, only reason I still haven't finished TP, too lazy to restart on gc version cause the controls piss me off beyond hell -_- why couldn't they leave the fucking gc controls in as optional since... oh I don't know, that's how it was fucking programmed in the first place?

    Okami. Get Okami.

Awesome re-release of a really cool game that is really takes advantage of the mobility of the remote.

Ok, went ahead and got Zack & Wiki...

Just kidding, they didn't have Zelda anymore so I settled with Galaxy!
    Thanks for the input guys.

Honestly I'd get both Galaxy and TP...I had a blast playing both. Probably had more fun playing Galaxy though. And with Zack and Wiki only being $8 at some places, it's a must-buy.

edit: Oh yah, someone mentioned RE:4 Wii. Was my first Wii game. LOVED it.

Overrated or not, Galaxy was a lot of fun and the music was beautiful to me. The game can last you longer than claimed if you go back and play it again when you unlock Luigi to get the last stage (I think those were the requirements) if you want to complete everything.

Twilight Princess was fun but last battle wasn't as difficult as I hoped for.

I'm kind of in a rut with the Wii too. The only games I still play are Brawl and DBZ. I have Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, Mario Kart, and Zelda but I either beat them or got bored.

I've already played and beat Okami for PS2 so that's out. Brawl's fun but it gets a little boring after a bit, and it doesn't help that I'm mediocre at best with it D: Guess it won't matter in month's time, seeing as I'll be busy with full time work/school but I'd like to think I bought the Wii for more than 2 games.

I got both TP and Galaxy, TP is "ok" but like wind waker, suffers from "end of game rush" where the end of the game feels like it was put together with sticky tape and velcro. Mario Galaxy I'm having fun with, haven't finished it yet. I'd get both if you can, because they're two completely different games that can't be compared.

Mario Galaxy's soundtrack is amazing too, the OST is a beauty.

Super Mario Galaxy (great), Twilight Princess (great), Metroid Prime 3 (good), Resident Evil 4: Wii (great), Super Smash Bros Melee (good), Mario Kart Wii (good) immediately come to mind.

With the exception of Smash and Kart though, none of the games have a tremendous amount of replay value.

Might be hard to find WiiFit for a reasonable price, they made a limited amount for NA and didn't have plans to make more. Rumors are circulating that they might be making more for late this year or next year.

Along with all the games mentioned here, I'd probably say Fire Emblem if you're into the series and No More Heroes. Mario is also fun with two people and hearing great things about Okami
