I just tried to log in and it says incorrect POL ID or password. FUCK, what do I do guys? Am trying to call PoL now, is there anything else I should be doing? None of my friends on Remora are on AIM or Yahoo or I'd ask them to call a GM.

I can't call POL either, it says this number is unable to be reached at this time. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SHIT?! 858 790 7529 is the number on the website but it's not working. ;;;;;

Donuts give your information out. Or use firefox and use no script >=(. get your information and registration codes if you have them, they ask for specific infos that you entered, like the birthdate you put down and billing address. But those are probably changed by now lol.

Number finally worked. Didn't have reg code any more but they placed an exception on my account and gave me a new password.

I really don't see how someone could have got my info. I'm an anal-retentive when it comes to my FFXI account. NO ONE, not even my g/f is allowed to log my act in other than me. I have a software and hardware firewall, along with FF + noscript. The only web sites I've visited recently are bluegartr, ffxiclopedia, and my linkshell's website. But, my password is different for all of the above, and my PoL password is completely different from the rest.

Well, my format is almost over but then reinstall + update. /sigh.

Fuck you chinese RMT, fuck you whoever account thieves.

The funny thing is though, the only thing my account has of any gil value is... well gil. (about 5mil but w/e, plenty of richer people to hack.)

Check my thread about encrypting FFXI information as a drive. Also if you install or disable a network adapter, this will cause POL to erase a saved password for some reason.

They have also implemented a "key" thing that you can store on a USB drive so when you aren't there the passwords will not function (according to them)

Anyone know what SE would do if the only thing I'm missing is gil? I had about 4.5mil I've been saving to buy synth mats for M robe, and it'll suck if that's gone. I imagine you can't item restoration it like say a relic..

You'll get rolled back to another time, it could be a day, it could be a week, it could be a month.

If you obtained Macha's coat somewhat recently you might want to tell them dates and try to make sure they don't roll it back too far.

I got Macha's a few months ago, but I got the 25 like 2 days ago. Oh well. I logged in finally this morning, obviously RMT they raped my account. All my gil, and anything worth more than 1k was gone, called a GM and got the recovery process going. Guess I need something to do for the next few weeks. CS: S anyone?
