    Cleaning

So a particular spot on my laptop just loves to collect dust and what looks like dead skin particles. I'm a bit of a neat freak and I've been able to deal with one or two of the white spots but I just can't stand it now and I need help with finding a way to clean this.

It's sort of like speakers or whatever. I know the speakers are actually on the left and right side but the whole line there is kind of perforated. Here's some close ups.

All in all I just don't know how to get rid of that shit. Compressed air doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

On a sort of related note, if anyone can make out that in the first image the glossy black part of the laptop with the lights and the media controls on it, it attracts fingerprints like crazy. If anyone knows how to deter that, or clean it easily without leaving streaks that'd be cool. Or how to clean my screen without streaks too.

small, soft paintbrush and a vacuum should clear that grille, and I have an anti static cloth for cleaning monitors, it's just a posh duster.

Toothbrush for the first one, put a little bit of cleaning solution on it if you want.

For the screen, there are all sorts of cheap monitor cleaning solutions and their cloths available at any computer store.

Don't use a shitty hard toothbrush though, the cheap ones will scratch the fuck out of diamonds

What my company generally uses are horsehair paintbrushes. They're generally soft enough not to cause damage, but stiff enough to get in the nooks and crannies and knock the dust/garbage out. Follow up with a spritz of compressed air and it's all better.
