There was a cool little ap called FFXI Calculator, but as far as I can tell it's no longer updated. Is there an program or web tool for keeping track of current merits? (including the newer tiers)

There are only so many merits you can assign outside of Group 1/2.

Group 1 merits spent would be 1, 3, 6, 10, 15 for each "notch", and 3, 7, 12, 17, 22 for each "notch" in a Group 2 merit, I'd just tally them up and make a note somewhere manually, since I haven't seen any sign of the ffxicalc being updated any time soon.

Hey mini, I have the old ffxicalculator, it doesn't have the updated T2 merits though. I don't have anywhere to upload it to but if you want it you can hit me up and I can aim it to ya or something.

Edit: I misread your post I guess you have the old one and are looking for a new one with T2's.

FFXIcalculator was started by some guy from ForsakenHearts LS on Fairy I think. The entire linkshell (or large part of it) was banned for botting and the usually childish behavior of 14 yr olds. The had tried a comeback, but I think it went nowhere and everything just kinda got left. Their old forums have been taken down so its fair to say that FFXIcalculator is dead in the water. I keep planning on cracking it open one day and tinkering with it but it's summer and Girls on the beach > FFXI atm so...

I know a couple folks on windower.net were working on either updating it, or making a new one. Maybe after Dynamis tonight I'll take some time and play around with it. I'll post up if I make any progress.

Someone a while back posted some excel sheets for keeping track of merits and triggers and some other stuff.

Nothing fancy, but his merit spreadsheet is pretty useful.

Edit: the version i have doesn't have the new merit caps. But it's pretty easy to modify the sheet to account for them.

Any chance of the merit one getting updated to reflect the current in-game numbers? Hell, i'll even take a quick tutorial on how to do it myself if anyone out there is good with Excel.

That's exactly what I was looking for. That helps out a ton. 933 merits in use, and there are still so many left to get...

I used brd, sam, cor, mnk, blm, thf, drk, and blu in the last little while, out of those I use blu the least. Used to play nin a lot, but Aegis pld/nin seem to be a better choice, lol. I have good gear for my nin, rng, and smn, which I also have merited and ready to use if needed. I mostly just come on what is needed for the event we are doing, but it isn't uncommon for me to change jobs 2-3 times per day for LS events. I try to make sure that all the jobs I frequent LS events with are properly geared (with the exception of cor), and of course merited.

That last spreadsheet looks very interesting, although the "Wants" column could be both very useful and very depressing at the same time. If you don't mind posting or sending that, I'd like to look at it.

I'm not even kidding when I say that no matter how many jobs you have at 75, if you have a mediocre geared WHM you will be asked to come WHM.

Can't count the number of times I've said to myself "all these jobs and you want me to come WHM?!" jeeeezus

oh, and dude in our LS is same situation as Kareface, and yeah, he's come WHM many times

Those spreadsheets are awesome will make good use of em, 1 thing I'm looking for and was wondering if anyone has a sheet to apply for it. It's for Salvage but instead of tracking what people have I wanna track the number of times we do each run and our drops rates on each NM and the bosses. Right now I just write it down as we do each run then put it onto another more organized peice of paper but a spreadsheet would be so much better.
