RMT Tells

Does anyone else get these? I've been getting at least 10 tells a day from random people telling me to go to their website. It's annoying as fuck and I'm not sure how to avoid this.

I got a few tells a few weeks ago. Maybe 3-4. The annoying RMT were the ones that sent me the POL messages. I just ignored them and they eventually stopped.

I don't play more than 2-4 hours per day, but I get them about every day that I am. I feel I probably get more of them than most mainly because my name starts with an 'A'. I always wonder how they are doing it myself... Surely SE is smart enough to not allow trial accounts to do this. But I know this is a big stretch saying SE is smart.

I've been receiving the occasional tell as well, once a week on Titan maybe. Generally 2-4 other people in my linkshell receive it at the same time.

I get POL emails on daily basis and it's goddamn annoying as you can't get rid of the blinking email icon without logging out of the game into POL. Never /tells though and friend list messages stopped when SE did some "fix" about a month ago.

For a short time I was getting them frequently, but I made an effort to call a GM every time. After a few days, it tapered off. I got a POL the other day - was the first peep of that type in weeks, so I think it's almost over.

it's been a while since i got one but when i was getting the /tells from RMT they sent em every other day. Only thing ya can do really is report them to the GM's and let them handle it. Wish we could feed em to faffy or something. RMT bannings would be so much more amusing if we could gather round and watch a huge ass dragon eat the RMT as they get banned.

I've only gotten one tell, but never the POL flist or POL email spam I keep hearing about. Guess I'm just lucky.

I get a tell almost every day on Garuda. Always from a new character. 9/10 times it's while I'm at work and it goes to my bazaar mule.

It seems like they usually go down the alphabetical list. And since I'm U I never got one, until about 2-ish weeks ago I was soloing Golden Salvage and I got something saying like "15-20% off gil @ blahblah.com" But alot of my friends with names in the first-ish letters seem to get them alot.

Not sure they go down the list alphabetically, as, I have only ever gotten 1 /tell about it, and yet several people on both sides of the alphabet from me has gotten several /tells in regards to it.

if you are getting POL emails from RMT.. just change your details so they are incorrect. Not like you get any POL emails anyways >.>

the tells in game go by zone. my group all got it in salvage one after another alphabetically.

I mentioned the alphabet thing because I am in a small LS and I was out farming/goofing off when I got a RMT tell. About 30 mins later, my brother says he gets a /tell and his name starts with D. Then about 30 mins after that, a person with name that starts with M got a /tell. Just something I observed.

I've only ever gotten two in-game adverts, and maybe three POL mails, but haven't gotten them in several months. Some friends get them almost daily, no matter how much they report or blist.

Not too much rhyme or reason going through these RMTs heads.

Get about 2-3 a day on Siren. It is funny because the tells will come in to everyone I know at the same time. My wife plays on a PC 8 feet away and we will get tells at the EXACT same time, not sure how that's done so fast. Same character usually too.

Calling a GM results in a auto-mail back to you in POL.

I think I've been getting around 3-4 per week. Pisses me off mostly because they don't respond when I tell them to !@#$ themselves

I get a lot of these as well, I'm surprised SE hasn't dealt with it yet. They seem pretty vigilant against RMT.
