Is there something that disables replays that I am accidentally triggering? I want to save some fights with me and my friend, but sometimes it gives the option at the end of the fight to save a replay and other times it does not.

It has to be within 3 minutes length or shorter to be able to do it. There is some way to counter that (those people hacking their game etc etc).

You can use gecko codes to make it possible to save a replay of any length but you have to save them to SD cards if you do that, else the wii's internal memory cards will fill up and you'll have to delete save data

not any length, 15 minutes tops with 2 people, it drops down to like 5 in doubles.

Heh, didn't know that, probably due to no matches EVER going 15 minutes, rarely even 5

Pretty sure that there's a limit on Wifi matches and that it's 3 minutes.

I did a lot of matches last night and I wanted to save one that was around 3:59, and it wouldn't let me... and yes, I have an SD card.

What are these gecko codes?

Oh, also got a couple replays saved on today but idk it seems wrong? All 4 replays are extremely low memory on this SD card (like 21 KB) Am I saving them wrong? and how do I go about getting them as a playable format?

just look at anything dealing with setting up brawl+ and you'll see what you need to do, at least that's what I'm assuming anyway

Replay files are not actually videos, theyre input sequences injected onto the stage with the right music and the game actually does the fight over, which is why you cant rewind/fastforward it.
