    Picking up a second job.

Well my first job has been slowing down and I'm only working maybe 25 hours a week down from 45.

Right now I'm looking for a second job, basically something that doesn't require much more then a high school education. Nights are not a problem just looking for something that's steady and well pays about 10 bucks an hour.

    anyone know where to start?

Serving jobs have always worked out for me. You generally aren't allowed to work more than forty hours per week, but if you're personable and don't get an immense number of black customers, you can walk out with a good $100/shift.

EDIT: InB4 racism. Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason, sorry.

EDIT2.0: I'll be damned if I'm going to be a grammatically inaccurate racist.

Would chain restaurants local be better?

Err, I'm talking about restaurants, not Burger King. I'm not sure what you have in your vicinity, but places like Applebees, Ruby Tuesday, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Bahama Breeze should net a good amount of cash for you.

If you're gonna be racist, don't make yourself look stupid whilst doing it. Black costumer. rofl

    ps. Venom.. still loling.

Also, in the golf club I used to work at, the black guys tipped better than the white guys.

Because mistyping a word has anything to do with a certain sect of person buying you out of steaks and ribs and leaving you 3%.

Country clubs aren't restaurants. In more applicable situations, Jacob Smith and his wife tip well, Ovarion Brown and the bitch he dun rememba the name of don't, homie. The real world sucks, deal with it.

Actually I worked in a restaurant that was part of the "golf" club; different than a country club. In the restaurant the black customers had a tendency to tip very well. Whereas the Jewish customers seemed to under-tip very often, but not all of them, and I certainly wouldn't be willing to make that generalization.

Back on topic. Depending on the restaurant you were thinking about working at, it can often be more trouble than it's worth. I worked in a golf club restaurant so the tips were pretty decent at times, but it's a fairly high stress job, especially when it's very busy. If this is a second job for you, the possible stress might not be worth it.

I said Jacob Smith, not Harold Weinstein.

But you're right, if you're not the type of person who can handle stress, serving isn't for you. The potential for extremely good money is there, but its not an easy job.

Another good job is find the company that does serving at major concerts/sports events in your area. In Denver, the two major companies are Aramark, and Centreplate.
With spring and summer coming up, these jobs are great money.
When I worked at Aramark, I'd work venues like Red Rocks.. just serving beer, make 8 dollars an hour(work about 6-7 hours), and walk away with 100 dollars in tips at the end of the night.
Jobs are almost always part time, and they are always hiring.
    Free concerts too!
Both are nation wide..but this only helps if you live near a major city... XD

In new-jersey there aren't any self-serve gas stations really... there are attendants that pump your gas for you.

Idk if they have that in your state, but if you don't mind smelling like gas at the end of the day then it's an easy easy, excellent job that doesn't take much effort or care really to do. Not much interacting with people either.

Stay far the fuck away from Wal-mart and Target. I'm spoiled, but Target was the worst job i;ve ever had. Videogame stores suck too. Steady and nights though Target is probably a good choice for you lol. Someone mentioned UPS, I've heard from quite a few people that it's a pretty good job to have.

I personally hate retail and food stores, and I don't like desk jobs, a 2nd job for me would be doing the same thing i already do lol, but if I had to choose I'd work at a gas station. Shits easy if you get over the cancer, I mean smell.

When you say "nights are not a problem," what do you mean, specifically? Can you work until 9PM or so, or are you available beyond midnight?

If you have the entire night, stocking jobs are an option.
