[Unicorn] Wabo [HNM, Endgame] LS Looking for New Blood

Veteran End Game Linkshell looking for New Blood.

The Linkshell known as Wabo (Unicorn) is currently looking to add a few new members to its ranks, and we are extending out to all existing characters on other servers to see if there is any interest.

WHAT WE DO:
I added this section and reposted this thread because i was receiving quite a few inquiries into what kind of LS we are. So, i'll explain. Wabo is among the 2-3 longest standing active End Game/HNM linkshells on the server. We do everything. Currently we have been focused more on WoTG NM's and content, but we do Sea runs, hunt Kings when there is a chance of HQ, Einherjar, and Dynamis (CoP zones included). We don't just camp the 3 Kings, so if that is what you are looking for, this isn't the place for you. We have recently been focused on upgrading relics for loyal LS members, and after 3 relic upgrades in about 45 days, we've finally exhausted our currency and will begin upgrading another relic as soon as currency levels rise. We don't run your life in FFXI, if you want something from Sea, or Sky, or wherever, get some people from the LS to go help you farm pop items etc, and we'll setup an event for you to get what you want.

HISTORY:
Wabo started originally as Word; we were a very close knit bunch and after a number of Word members decided to not play anymore, we filtered into a linkshell called Lost to continue enjoying the game and progressing.

After a few months in Lost, we realized we were pretty much just being used for our jobs and experience and never were seen as equals, so we decided one day to break off and start a new shell called Wabo in 2004: Which would be pretty much the original Word members that were still around, plus some members of Lost who we had befriended during our time there. For the most part, the original members of Word and Lost that joined to form Wabo are who you will see with Sacks in the shell. We will still get original members of Word coming back from time to time and attending stuff just for fun, but for the most part Wabo is now its own creation feeding off both new and old LS members alike.

Many of us are Real Life friends; we’ve attended events such as Fan Fest as well as occasionally have LAN parties where we eat, drink, be merry and play ffxi. We have a wide range of members, both men and women from teenagers to college students, to married couples, people with children, as well as some older players.

We currently are in the process of getting Relics for members of the LS. Not just Sackholders, as of the 8 relics we have, the last 2 have been for non-sack holders and our Shell leader hasn’t gotten a relic as of yet.


What we are looking for:
1. Veteran players – We’re talking veteran, not just “yea I’ve fought the 3 Kings before” but we expect you to have access to all Dynamis zones, be familiar with killing pretty much everything sans AV and not ask “how do I get to JOL?”. To spell out the basics, you have OP’s to all zones within the game that exhibit an outpost warpability trait. (yes, I just said “Warpability”)

2. MINIMUM of 3 75 jobs, with at least 1 of those jobs being a well geared Mage job (whm, blm, rdm) with all applicable subs. Unlike many of the LS's that post on here, that are looking for members, we're not looking for "PLD, BRD, BLM, SAM, WHM": We have 3 Aegis/Hautclaire pld's and people with all the core jobs: we're more looking for "People" who will fit in, we kinda expect you to take care of the useful/well geared job bit. If you have 3 75 jobs and they are NIN, WAR and THF - probably not worth applying etc.

3. Reason you are leaving your current LS is pretty much “I’d like to try out another server” or “I played for years, took a 2 year break and just came back and my LS wasn’t the same anymore” and not because you wore out your welcome, insane drama, etc etc.

4. Can handle huge amounts of sarcasm, personal pokes at you, and won’t be offended if you happen to mess up, miss a stun, whatever and you are called a Dumb &%^# because of it.

5. Can make our 2 Dynamis runs every week (conditional upon the fact that you are actually online during those times) Tuesday 8:30pm CST; Saturday 4pm CST, and are available for ALL, I repeat, ALL LS activities IF you are online playing. Obviously Real Life stuff takes priority, but if you have the free time to be online playing this game, then we’d expect you to drop an EXP party, Quest, Assault etc to come to the activity.

6. Would like to just have Fun. We have LS members from all over the globe, so hopefully you can feel like you fit in somewhere.

I would like to thank all those that have sent in applications to our website, and the huge interest there has been to joining our LS. We currently have a half dozen or so of the latest applications up for voting, and after these have been voted on, we will be closing recruitment for the time being. We were looking at adding a handful of veteran players, and we believe we were able to do that.

Again, thank you to everyone who applied~ with a few dozen applications to sort through, trying to find the best out of those, it is always difficult to turn people down, but we as a group have never wanted to be a HUGE LS, so we've always had to turn away good players for what we believed were better players, sometimes we were right, sometimes we weren't, its kinda like college football recruits.
