XBox 360 and FFXI Issues

Hello Everyone. I did everything that was mentioned in another forum on what to do to get FFXI working on the XBox 360 with the errors of cant read disc, need to redownload game, and whatever other errors it gives people out there. The fix was Install POL to HDD, then Run from HDD, then once on POL login screen to "uninstall software," after that go back to dashboard, go to HDD and under memory manually delete POL again. After that launch disc as normal and i been fine since.

This fix worked for me no problems. But now i have a a RL friend of mine that wishes to come back to game as well. So he went out and bought a copy of Vanadiel Collection 2008 as well that has up to WoG. I went to his house and did the same process and it looked like it worked because it installed the whole game.

But now a day later he's calling me saying that the it seems liek he has a 50/50 chance to log onto his character. hits "play" and says it loads for a long while but eventually can get on his character or sometimes it loads for a long time and gives him connection errors or dirty disc etc. Brand new game Disc, brand new XBox 360 which he bought last week as well.

I guess i got lucky with the sticky fix? ....I find it hard to believe that i can log onto game every time i go on since the fix with no probs and he can't yet. So whats next? I'm out of ideas....does anyone else know what i can do to help him get up and running on FFXI once again?

THis happens to me as well for some odd reason. But hmm. I will try and help ya out. I personally had to buy another wotg disk to use XD to like get on in the game and stuff. their pretty cheap to. Go for 19. Try wiping the back of the disk and stuff. Also I need a new 360 hardrive because the one I have has only like freaking 6 gigabytes on it lol @.@ somewhow I bought the 360 hardrive and apparently it only came with a small freaking harddrive meh!

Reinstalling POL can help.
