Trial Registration Woes

The other day, I decided to give FFXI another try (having only played a few months when the game originally released in NA for PC) and downloaded the trial and requested a registration code. After a day passed and no email, I did some searching and discovered that people weren't getting their registration codes if they used a Yahoo email address; gmail, however, seemed to work. So, I requested again, this time using a gmail address, but now I get a message that reads:

"Registration codes cannot be sent at this moment.
Please wait and try again."

This message has persisted for over 8 hours now, and I can't help but wonder if it's perhaps ip blocking me, because I've already 'successfully' requested a code with another email from this ip.

So, I was wondering if any of the fine folk here could try for themselves and see if they get the same message (obviously, not using a yahoo email address) and if by chance, it works for you, if you'd be so kind as to PM me the registration code.

My guess is that it might be an anti-RMT measure.

It's probably more to do with the wave of maintenances we've had lately more than anything. Alternatively try using a proxy to sign up for one?

I had that problem a while back when I tried to get a trial key. Just wait a few days and try again.
