    Overloading speakers.

Ive two 10~60 watt speakers at 4ohms.
Im looking at a system that puts out 160 watts (2x 80) at 6ohms.

Will this cause the speakers to not work, or blow up, or will I be good?

I want to say you'll be fine. Your looking at a higher resistance, if your current is the same you'll be looking at less power. In the stereo world wattage means jack squat. It's all current that truely matters from a quality standpoint on a reciever.

However your only concern is that you are running 4ohm (car?) speakers on a 6ohm reciever.

Regardless of all of that, your speakers will get a signal and produce sound. If you turn it up loud and get distortion, stop doing that and they will be fine.
