So anyone just saw the finals?
Amazing, can't believe he can do 9.58s and still looks like can lower it more.

Yeah he's pretty disgusting tbh.
IF he actually runs his fastest for an entire race, I think most of his other competitors would just change professions.
What's sad is at some point he's going to slow down, and there's really no telling if his desire to "move the record a tiny bit at a time" is going to prevent him from ever actually running the fastest time he's capable of before he slows down.
I remember when i was a kid watching ben johnson 9.79s, i was wow how can someone do that and be faster than Carl Lewis.
Friend told me and was pretty stoked. Tyson Gay also ran a 9.68. At both, damn.
HUR HUR GAY. Seriously though its amazing how someone as big as Bolt can move that fast. He totally breaks the mould of every other sprinter out there.
Damn, Bolt Airlines did it again.
Really wish he wasn't so egotistical so we would all know how fast he really runs.
YouTube - Usain Bolt WR 100M 9.58 !!!!! 16th of August 2009 Berlin is a current working link, OP's is dead.
what channel?
Before Bolt all the fastest sprinters have been stocky little bastards and Bolt is what, 6 4? Even his trainer wanted him to do the 200m because he thought he was to big for the 100m.
I'd like to know his cadence in the 100M vs the others. Dude is a fair bit taller than most, which is why he weighs more. I doubt his height:weight ratio is that much different than others, though I could be wrong.
I think the problem his trainer thought he would have was his leg length compared to everyone else rather than an actual weight difference because of the time it would take him to get into full stride compared to everyone else. Apparantly he's worked out something that more than obviously works lol.
Agreed. Ive never raced against someone more than 2 or 3 inches than me in the 1600/3200/5000. Well other than this one german kid who was like 6'6 and fucked up our whole divison by like 12 seconds in the 1600.
On Topic: Usually turn-over kills stride in short distance, but Usain proves "shits situational"
I thought he was gonna keep running LOL
lol, that camera man is pretty damn fast carrying the camera ;o
This video is pretty accurate about Bolt.

I wonder what his time would have been in the olympics if he hadn't slowed down. Someone should take the time and distance before he slowed down and then extrapolate to 100m to see roughly what it could have been.
